Hi Jox,
It's lovely of you to pop by. I am a women on a mission!
Last night I almost convinced myself I had Peripheral Vascular Disease, and today I'm pronounced healthy and well, if a bit of a hypochondriac....
I'm going to treat this body with the respect it deserves from now on.

More good news on the health front.
I have just finished a Mystery Shop, at a local chemist, and she offered me a free blood pressure test.
The result was 120/80 which the Pharmacist pronounced was perfect.
It's a long time since anything about me was described as perfect!
DS and I are going to clean the house, leave a tea for DH and then go and visit a friend.
She has this magnificent all singing and dancing, huge Hot tub in her back garden, so I am bringing along some wine and we are going to CHILL big time. TTFN.Weight 12 st 2lb - Now 11 stone 1 lb (-15 lb)

Hi RB, popping in to say Hi and thanks for visiting my diary earlier. You are doing really well, keep up the good work0
-
Hi Rainbow. Just popping in to say how well you're doing.
As part of my own 'boot camp' year I promised myself I would go for all the check ups and treatments I've been putting off for a very long time. My teeth (what's left of them ) are in a truly dreadful state, and I'm just terrified to go to the dentist, so I'm giving you a big :T for going.
I have to say that when I made the promise to do all these things, I was in my mind thinking about some point in the coming year but not right now, but a couple of weeks ago I received an appointment for a mammogram (my first); first thought was to hide the letter in the Tesco's carrier bag with the rest of the things I don't want to deal with, but it's boot camp, so I couldn't really justify it to myself and I went, and I do feel better for doing something to look after myself.Positive steps every day:j0 -
Hi Yukkibear, thanks for popping by x.
Itsa you are responding really well to boot camp, even though you are having to be your own Sergeant Major, but if you start to slack we'll jump in and egg you on, there is no turning back, You are an ex-smoker now :T.
Well done for not adding to the Tesco carrier bag's evil contents, and having that mammogram done :T.Weight 12 st 2lb - Now 11 stone 1 lb (-15 lb)

Day 12 of 12 week challenge - 75/365 - 20.6%
Saturday is Meal Planning Day
£60.77 left to last until the 29th September.
I have a huge Organic Chicken already, which will last three days, and some salmon, then i'm consulting my Gill Holcombe frugal cooking book for meals to take me through to my month end, so:-
Saturday - Roast chicken and stuffing
Sunday - Chicken pie and baked potato
Monday - Chicken soup and HM rolls
Tuesday - Salmon, New Potatoes and Vegetables
Wednesday -Cider Sausages and mash
Thursday - Spaghetti Bolognaise
Friday - Vegetable Burgers and HM Chips.
I have most of what I need in stock, but I am going to Lidl's today to get plenty of fruit and vegetables and things for the store cupboard. I have a budget of £35.00.
On the way back I am going to our local garden centre, which is in the grounds of a country estate, with a budget of £15.00 for spring bulbs, and pansy's for my hanging baskets. I'll take a flask and sandwiches with me and take a walk around the grounds while i'm there. DH and DS may come with me, but I have a feeling there is football on.
That should leave me with £10.77 to month end, which is perfectly possible x.

Day 13 of 12 week challenge - 76/365 - 20.8%
Thanks NewLeaf,
I am very pleased with my bulb haul. I have 50 Ice Follies Narcissus, 50 Fortune Narcissus, 20 Oriental Beauty Tulips and 15 Firefly Crocus.
I also have two boxes of multi coloured viola for my hanging baskets. A riot of colour through autumn and into spring.
I spent £17.76 (which included a 20% off voucher) so £2.76 over budget.
My Lidl haul came to £36.50 or £1.50 over budget.
So, to last me until the end of the month, and to keep my savings on target, I now have the princely sum of £6.51.
I am just carrying that around with me until Friday, my debit card is staying at home xx.
