    Day 6 of 12 week challenge - 69/365 -18.9%

    Thanks Heffi1 x.

The store cupboard challenge, that I set myself this month, is progressing slowly. I've cleaned and sorted two shelves. This afternoon I will organise the rest of it and log what I have in stock.

The next task is making a list of what I still need, which I will do today.

I was going to take £160.00 out of the savings for the task, but I can't bring myself to part with it, so instead I am going to build up the store cupboard and emergency kits, gradually, over the next twelve weeks, out of my usual budget.

Day 3 of the detox today. I start the same as day 1 and 2, but in the evening I can have brown rice with ginger, cumin, rock salt and black pepper.

I've stuck to it pretty rigidly, so I am quite pleased with this new found discipline, it's been missing for a long time !!

  • Hi rainbow, I will be following your progress with interest as I too am trying to loose weight. I'm not overweight, just have quite a bit of podge around my middle which I would like to get rid of! You are very motivated! My problem is I lack will power!

Thanks NL and welcome clippy girl.

I have had no will power over the last couple of years. I had been trying to constantly lose weight, but just kept putting it on.

Stress eating (and drinking) was the root cause, but since I admitted that to myself and worked on what was bothering me, my will power seems to have returned with vengeance.

I have been feeling so much better over the last few months physically and mentally, and I really want this to continue for the long term, so I am prepared to give myself the attention that is required.

Well done, I should really look at what I am eating as the weight is not shifting right now and I would love to lose a stone if possible, I seem to get rid of 3 - 4 pounds and put them back on again.

    Day 7 of 12 week challenge - 70/354 - 17.1%

Hi Heffi1, you can do it!

Once you get rid of that 3-4 pounds then have a really strict few days eating and exercising until you lose another few pounds, then you will have broken the cycle, and with 1/2 stone off you'll feel a lot lighter, and you'll want to continue.

    Go for it x

Day 4 of detox, same as day 3 but with a big salad for tea. I have had plenty of energy throughout the detox and I am feeling much less bloated. The honey water is filling and seems to negate the urge for sweet things.

    Day 8 of 12 week challenge - 71/365 - 19.5%

I have spent the last hour playing about with my spreadsheet. It can get very addictive....

The company, that I stopped working for last week, have told me that I am owed holiday pay, so I will be £200.00 better off than I thought at month end :j.

I've re-jigged the budget and I will now have £400.00 savings at the end of this month, if I just spend £90.00 between now and 29th September, on food and miscellaneous things. I am going to take the £90.00 out in cash and track it on here.

This still left me room for a wee splurge, so I have indulged in a new coat and boots from NEXT, which I did need. I've ordered them online, through Quidco.

I don't feel guilty, I have stuck to my goals of gaining £100.00 a month and losing 1.5 lb a month and this is my reward :).
