Twelve Weeks To Glow

Day 9 of 12 Week Challenge - 72/365 - 19.8%
A big, explosive drama has developed in my extended family and everyone is busy taking sides.
I got a few agitatated phone calls last night, attempting to get me involved, but I am trying to stay out of it and neutral, which didn't go down too well and I was at the receiving end of some very !!!!!y comments which left me fuming.
I used to be the Mrs Fix It in the family, but I handed in my notice a while back. I'll love them all and listen, and point people in a direction which may or may not work for them, but I can't afford to take on problems that are not my own and get emotionally involved. I have learned that these issues are actually out of my control.
This year is about fixing the things I can control.
I felt very emotional after the calls and discussed everything with DH, and we agreed on a strategy.
Then I did some meditation and imagined the whole issue shrinking into a little box. I put the lid on the box, then put it into the rubbish bin for removal. My head then felt clear and I slept well, and this morning i'm feeling fine.
This too will pass x.'When you accept the fact you have no control and choose not to take any action, you are letting go'.Weight 12 st 2lb - Now 11 stone 1 lb (-15 lb)

20% of the way through the year already!!
I have spent £7.50 so far, from my £90.00, to last me to month end. That was the horrendous cost of parking in the city yesterday, as I attended an appointment at the dental hospital.
As part of my transformation, I am getting my teeth sorted. My bridge needs replacing and another tooth needs sorting. Originally I was quoted £1,000 by my dentist, but they agreed to refer me to the NHS dental hospital, and hopefully all I need to pay for is the parking.
I will be going regularly for the foreseeable future, so I am going to have to figure out the closest free parking area, that I can walk from, because i'm not paying those prices again  .Weight 12 st 2lb - Now 11 stone 1 lb (-15 lb)

Day 11 of 12 week challenge - 74/365 - 20.3%
Thanks, I look forward to reading it.
I phoned the Dr this morning at 8.00 am, expecting to wait a week for an appointment, but I have got one for 9.50 am today.
I haven't been for a couple of years, but my dental treatment is organised, so now it's the doctor's turn.
I want them to check out my swollen ankles and arrange removal for a couple of non-malignant skin blemishes, which I had removed before but they have come back, oh the joys.
I spent £21.84 yesterday, half on a present and the other half on food from the reduced section of Morrison's, so I am left with £60.66 to last until next Friday. Definitely doable, but I can't take my eye of the ball x.Weight 12 st 2lb - Now 11 stone 1 lb (-15 lb)

Hi Newleaf,
I don't know why I have put these things off for so long.
The doctor was lovely. One of my 'blemishes' will need to be cut out and the other one frozen off, but he is going to get that organised for me.
He examined my ankles and said that he wouldn't have known they were swollen unless I had told him, and they showed no signs of pitting, and there was nothing to indicate any circulation problems, infact he said I was looking really healthy and well!!! I think my ankles must just be fat rather than swollen :rotfl:.
I felt like a fraud, but he's put my mind to rest. You type in something like swollen ankles into an internet search engine and you end up thinking you've got three weeks to live :eek:Weight 12 st 2lb - Now 11 stone 1 lb (-15 lb)
