  • Right I went to get my car, paid £300 have to pay £210 after Christmas.

I figured that would be one thing I could do and get out of the house. I am having a cup of tea and mince pie, then I will tackle upstairs and my room.

I am aiming to get the guinea pigs into the new cage tonight and put their old cage..........in the other shed in the morning (I will leave it out in the garden overnight)

TheN late tonight I wiil wrap up presents. Tomorrrow I will visit 2 friends and get my hair cut plus put up the tree.

I still feel like crying but need to just get through it.

  • Why not have a good cry, will make you feel better!

£750 is way over the odds for what you are getting, even if it is your mum. You are leaving yourself trapped as you can't reduce what you are paying her but you are basically paying everything (if there is no mortgage). You include the insurance in your payment yet you are paying a wopping car bill, where is her share of it.

Aound here £75.00 per week is about right including bills. Remember that there is a limit you can earn on rent before you have to pay tax to HMRC and most people stay below that amount as it is less hassle.

What will she do if you don't stay? How will she replace your rent money or does she have enough coming in and you are just covering her having trips and doing things that you can't now afford to do?

    Hugs, Me xx

Cos Mum will hear me and she will get upset. You don't cry in this family. and we are both fairly sad atm- miss Dad and how Christmas used to be. Plus the dogs are fighting and being badly behaved.

    I moved the bed!

This is part of the reason why I never post an SOA, I did realise a while back that I pay over the odds and am basically throwing my money away since renting else where would cheaper and I could awful as it sounds re home the guinea pigs I suppose. I just cannot bear the thought of her alone. She is my Mum and I can't do it. plus I did think she would go to Florida - she is happier there. no !!!! to deal with no clutter and my sister's dogs are outside ! She would need the money for that. but increasingly that is not looking likely.

I do need move out. just makes me cry to think of it.
Plus the new cage I bought isn't what I wanted. I could not unpack it whilst at work, the dogs make such a fuss about everything and it gets mum stressed so I left, only opened it when I knew it would go straight upstairs unfortunately it is not really suitable - I thought both doors opened but they don't bloody annoying.

I need to swop it really for the dogs' crate (plus a run I have) but not sure Mum will go for it.

It's not going well at all today!

  • How long have you had it? Can you send it back. The distance selling rules are different and something doesn't have to be faulty to return it.

Trying to think too much before Christmas is not a good idea, especially with your Dad. Thoughts and ideas wont be as clear as they should be. In the New Year maybe you both ought to start being honest with each other about what you want and where you want to be. I would guess that your Mum is very unhappy too as this was not the life either of you planned.

Please don't take what I am about to say the wrong way - I know you love your animals but maybe you shouldn't replace them when they pass on. It is much more difficult to make the decisions you need to make about renting when many people wont accept pets. Some landlords will let you have pets after a while once they get to know you. (Or maybe by that point you will be able to buy and it wont matter anyway.)

  • oh don't worry about telling me not to get any more pets, I love them but they are such a tie at this point

It was different when I was younger and living at home wasn't such a big deal, possibility of moving out with BF etc, but Gps live a relatively long time and I will be 40 plus when this lot pass on (having lived full and happy lives please God!) so I wouldn't get anymore. And at my age people tend to think they are children substitutes.......which is so annoying.

I am fully aware how awful that sounds but honestly if I didn't have them I would have !!!!!!ed off by now! bless them I feel so guilty. :(

  • GP's are lovely and funny - stuff what people say when they think you should have kids!

If I didnt have dogs I think I would have sold this house and moved to a bigger rented house as it is not what we need space wise, but I have them, they are young and I am stuck here, but I love them!

  • !!!!!!!!,

Have re - arranged the furniture to fit in new cage and desk.

    Tv doesn't FIT !!!! !!!! !!!! !!!! !!!!

have to move ALL the furniture around a gain

am 10 cm short of space for the perfect arrangement and this one was second best. and it doesn't work.

    Really right now stinking headache.

    Some time later..........

didn't realise I had forgot to post the first post (the first bit)

It is now 10.30, the new Gp cage is amare of huge proportions. The tray moves when they move and it freaked them out completely. I have had a look and can't see a way of fixing it.

I am beyond cheering up or looking on the bright side or anything. I just want the world and especially Christmas to go away.
