    afternoon all
please someone help me!! its my very first day on s w. i joined last night as an online member so im yet to receive my actual books although i have it all online. im doing an extra easy day ( as if i know what that is) and have had porridge which i made with water. ...4.5 syns.. and a wrap with mixed veg in it..8.5 syns for the wrap. have i got my syns right??
    b) porridge with water and a tea spoon of sugar
    l) shape delights yog with a peach and a tortilla wrap with mixed veg in it
    d) colemans tuna pasta bake with mush and onions

can someone look at this and see if this is all ok? i have had milk as my healthy extra.

sorry to be a little slow

Your porridge would be your b choice, the sugar would be 1 syn - sweetener is free if you like it? You need to have a third of your plate/bowl superfree foods for extra easy so you could have some fruit with it.

Lunch is good because you have got fruit and veg in there, some of the shape yogurts have syns so just double check that.

According to google the colemans tuna pasta bake is 7.5syns for the whole pack, this is made with milk so are you using this as your a?

It is quite confusing when you first start isn't it!

i think what half of my problem is that i have done ww and its hard to forget about points..

Your porridge if it were weighed out to 32grams would be your healthy extra, sugar is syned at 1 syn per teaspoon.
Your tortilla wrap - was it wholemeal/white? What shop? homemade or shop made? How were the veg cooked/prepared?
The pasta bake is 7.5 syns per sachet. Was your yogurt 0% fat?
Overall you need more fruit/veg with your breakfast to make up 1/3rd of your meal. And do the same with each meal 1/3rd superfree veg.
As you are waiting for the books to come through take a look on the website at the weekly menu plans and get ideas from there on how to plan your meals making them as food optimised as possible.

Hi, I thought I'd posted earlier bUt can't find it so if this is a duplicate please forgive me!

I'l going to start up SW again after a while Off plan (I used to post here a bit). I lost 4kg following Teresa Cutters 80/20 plan (basically SW red for summer). But I feel I need some more warming food and SW has good 'comfort' recipes and casseroles etc.

So, hopefully with the support of this thread I can crack on and shift the rest of the weight. Last time I followed the programme (I did the online thing) they introduced the EE plan, so I get that, but have there been any other changes? I've still got the list of HEs and some syns, and a stack full of magazines, so I just need to plan a bit more. Oh, and I also need to get some more willpower when it comes to sweets and chocolate!
    Trying to keep in budget.

HE values have changed, there is a post on here with the changes on them. They have generally been rounded up to be a round number of grams eg cheese is now 30g not 28g etc.

You'll get there, it's second nature to me now. I google loads of food, I just put 'strawberry muller light syns' and 9 times out of 10 it will find me the answer!

It's just remembering that every day you need to have :
    1 A choice
    1 B choice
A third of each meal needs to be superfree.
Up to 15 syns a day.

    :)

 gien, good to see you posting.

All this talk of porage and comfort food: I saw 'instant' porage today (think it was Oats so Simple) in Iceland today for £1 a box. People seemed to be stocking up. Personally I'm happy to make from scratch with oats but if you're in a hurry....

Thanks Evilsquid - I'll try and find that post. Today I'm going to try out EE.

B: 28g WM bread, 1tsp honey, coffee with milk allowance, apple.
L: pasta with HM ratatouille (courgette toms mushrooms shallots). 1tsp parmesan.
D: risotto with pork escalope, steamed veg

I need to double check the syns for parmesan but IIRC its quite low.

Can anyone say how calories relate to syns? I have made my own crunchy muesli/granola with oats, seeds and dried apricots and figs. 45g is 198 calories according to the recipe - is there an easy conversion to syn this?

Anyway, better get up and to the day
