WI and half a pound off. after last weeks big loss this was my no loss or small loss week so i'm just happy something showed up!Thanks Evilsquid - I'll try and find that post. Today I'm going to try out EE.
B: 28g WM bread, 1tsp honey, coffee with milk allowance, apple.
L: pasta with HM ratatouille (courgette toms mushrooms shallots). 1tsp parmesan.risotto with pork escalope, steamed veg
I need to double check the syns for parmesan but IIRC its quite low.
Can anyone say how calories relate to syns? I have made my own crunchy muesli/granola with oats, seeds and dried apricots and figs. 45g is 198 calories according to the recipe - is there an easy conversion to syn this?
Anyway, better get up and to the day
your welcome! it may be back in the spring/summer thread though, but it is definitely on here.
rough guide is 20 calories = 1 syn. tbh, you might be better trying to find the syn values for the composite ingredients then dividing that by how many portions it made, will prob be more accurate.0 -
30g Parmasan can be used as an HEA or B, which if you want to use a smaller amount works out at 5g for 1 syn.

Well this is the second night that the boy is away and I was supposed to go with his mum to a local carvery...got all excited...and she's cancelled - gutted doesn't cover it.I don't really feel like cooking if I'm honest and feel bad ordering a take away for just me
Honestly thought I was going to be ok but I'm feeling lonely tonight - why is it hard to make friends as a grown up!? As a child it happens in school but I honestly have no idea how to make friends now I've left uni
I need to decide quick otherwise i will end up just not eating anything. Think I will just have to cook something. MEH!************************************

Once again I have alot of reading to catch up on, looks like some great losses well done!
I finally got to my gym induction, felt so good to use my muscles, had an interesting talk with the referal instructor and as a result ...
I don't care what the scales say! While I love Slimming World, it helped me learn how to control my food, balance my diet.. it also brought me to fear muscle gain - as that weighs in more than fat does.
I used to train with free weights regularly and I didn't realise how much I have missed that. (Apart from aching everywhere today)
So gym is my body magic now, muscle tone is my aim as while I want rid of the excess I am still carrying. I really don't just want my skin holding my bones together on a diet of slow cooked diet coke and pretend milk. If I cut down my syns any further to maintain the big losses I have had, thats what I will have to be doing.
So theres the plan Hah, lets see if it works!0 -

I've been there. Empty house, on my own while the daughter is away. What does one do with oneself - aside from listening to unpleasant voices and gurgles.
I made friends through going to classes on a night, like slimming world. But to start with - forums.
I'll never forget the loneliness. I am so lucky to have a little lass that loves me so much, fill my life with so many things to do (to the point of screaming) when she was not around I was lost. I wandered round shops in a dazed fashion.
It's also how I gained all my weight, drink, chocolate, and feeling sorry for myself...:D0 -

I'm usually fine when he's away it's just today - I think it was having such an empty day (all I've done is wander round the shops for a couple of hours - and that was hard to do as its a very small, very quiet town! and go to a kids birthday party). I've not looked after the tot as its a Saturday - although it was his birthday party I popped in to. I did pop round to the boy's parents but just to drop some cakes I made them off but wasn't there long.
Now he's worried because he is away for a week in November (Monday to Sunday) so I'm trying to make him understand that I'm fine really I was just a little down as I was lonely etc. I'm fine, I know I am...but Saturday is usually our 'date night' where we have a take away and snuggle up on the sofa all night so think I'm just missing that. Plus that week I'll be working 4 days then will love having a couple of days off before he gets back because I'll be able to get things straightened up for his return.
Ah well, I get him to myself on our little caravan holiday next week *yay*. He's also promised to get me my 12stone present asap and we've decided it's going to be a bear so I have something to snuggle up with whilst he's away - other than the dog!
This is one reason I joined a group rather than just Slimming World online, but I'm yet to have any real/substantial conversations or make any connections to anyone in group. Have found the details of a local knit and natter group and a book club so I'm thinking of joining them, it will give me somewhere to go and a little bit of me time and hopefully meet a few more people.************************************
