Lost 1 lb this week and am determined to lose a bit more next week. Had SW chips and SW quiche tonight with big salad followed by meringue nest and raspberries. Delish!!:j

I am hoping I can just tick over nicely through the winter because I do NOT want to get into the New Year having gained and have to start all over again.

Have not done much cycling due to rubbish weather and I don't suppose I'll get much more in over the next few months. Dog walk every day but that's a dawdle really so every so often I do a brisk and dogless 3-4 mile walk.

Have gone back to filling in my food diary because that had lapsed a bit.

I love to hear how everybody else is getting on though.:j

Beanielou, please dont be put off by the size of your posts, you have given me some great advice over the couple of months i have been here. Every contribution helps.

Just back from group and had a disappointing meeting tonight - not to do with the consultant more the attitude of the area manager and the stress it seems to have spilled throughout the building. As our group is held in a 6th form academy apparently we werent meant to be weighing in tonight. Consultant genuinely thought that the open evening was a few weeks ago when she was asked ahead of group if she minded being pushed into a smaller room out of the way which she said werent an issue as people really needed the support of the group rather than being concerned about room size. Anyway there was an issue with the pda system used for weigh in it had a mind of its own, knowing the area manager was in the building consultant ran along to ask her if she knew what it was over and got told it wouldnt be a problem if she read her emails and that she shouldnt have been there in the first place.
I think a few members over heard what was said and didnt stick around plus parking was bad because of the open evening in all i think there were less than 10 of us there tonight.

The america thing is still being pushed and we are no longer allowed to be awarded the slimmer of the week certificate on the day you acheive it. It now has to be stuck on a board at front of class for all to see and must stay there for 1 month when you are handed it back but you do still get your sticker on book and a fridge magnet.

This weigh in i only lost 0.5lb as * had turned up this morning but son gained 1lb due to a binge from a telling off he has had in school this week.

Onwards and upwards though better losses next week, see you all tomorrow!

I've been SOTW a few times and have never had a fridge magnet...I feel left out now! haha

Had a couple of days where I haven't kept a food diary but have tried to stay as close to plan as possible but on it 100% now as I want a decent loss this week!

Stef that sounds like an awful atmosphere and an awful attitude from the area manager!

Never had one for that either, having said that I don't think target members in our group have their badges etc either - is it a personal choice of each consultant to give them maybe?

    Today is looking roughly like:
B: 1 slice wholemeal toast with baked beans (1/2 HeB) with banana and apple
L: 1/2 pack savoury rice with added peppers and mixed veg
S: (as it will be a later tea than usual) slice of toast with ham, cup of tea (with milk from HeA) and piece of fruit
T: left overs from last nights chinese so noodles and bean sprouts and sweet and sour chicken with no sauce and the batter removed! will count a few syns still

Healthy extra A: 250ml semi skimmed milk

Need 1lb off to get my 2stone shiney (got to love collecting stickers) and just 5.5lb until I get my 12stone and under pressie from the bf.

Done a walk already today (about 35/40mins at moderate pace) and will be going out again later for an hour. Then blitzing a bit of house work when tot naps/after he's gone again.

Still haven't bought any new smaller jeans etc - feel a bit like a size down won't fit because of my thighs so haven't even tried any on! Will have to soon though I think :/

Sorry that turned in to a bit of an essay!

    Morning,

Gemmie, Nessie and Stef - My OH is the same! Since I've been doing this I give him SW food (usually bigger portions than me but not too much as he needs to lose a couple of stone too) but he has extra bits and pieces as well. In terms of things like takeaways etc my strategy (esp if I think I might be tempted too) is make sure there's always something both of us love cooked and ready to eat. For example there are currently a few portions of paella in the freezer for emergencies, and we're out straight from work til 10 or 11 every Thurs night so I always make sure I make double portions of something he loves like Thai curry, chilli, lasagne etc on a Weds night so even if he wants a pizza (like he did last night) I can so no, we have our tea ready to heat up and it will be just as nice if not nicer! I can't stop him getting a pizza at 3am tonight after he's been out with his mates but as it's not affecting my weight loss so be it!

+1. Don't feel bad Beanie - as others have said (with less innuendo) it's not the length of your post, it's what you do with it that counts! :rotfl:

Anyhoo, 1lb off for me last night despite a Chinese buffet, a wedding and a full meal at pizza hut!!! So happy that this is a plan that works even on a tough week :j

Where You Working we've been told the opposite in group :S we were told that the ones in the cheaper shops would be free still but the ones in the supermarkets won't be as they are the new 'recipe' *confused*

Well done on your loss LLS. Re. mugshots- we haven't been told anything in class but my mum was told in hers that the cheap mugshots are syns and the normal ones aren't. Tbh I have pretty much given up on the cheap ones as they only ever have tomato or cheese (which has syns anyway) and if the supermarket has an offer on there's not always much difference in price. Maybe your leader is confusing them with pasta n sauce, since the old ones (i.e. syn free) are likely to be in Home Bargains etc longer than they are in the supermarket? Although saying that I stocked up on original recipe on offer in Asda the other day- no sign of new and improved ones.

(First, sorry to have cut your post so much - thought this essay was long enough already!!) Well done on your loss, and hope your son hasn't let it knock him too much. We were told about the SOTW thing last week, didn't mention a magnet though. I know it's meant to be encouraging and I admit I like getting a shiny new sticker every 7lbs but this strikes me as being a bit silly. They seem to have changed the format a bit, at least in my class- SOTW had to have stayed to class but now it's the biggest loser whether they are there or not, and the 'best achiever', i.e. best loser who has stayed, gets the fruit basket. It's a bit annoying as a guy keeps winning but he never stays - I have only ever seen him once and do think it's a bit unfair to those that stay every week.

Anyway, this is a proper essay so going to do some work! EE today:

B: Bacon sandwich (B), brown sauce (1), banana, milk (A)
L: Last of courgette pasta bake
T: Undecided- maybe jacket spud and chicken and bacon salad (if so 2 for butter), or an omelette and salad
S: Yogurt, pear, KitKat (5.5), HiFi light (3)

Have a great Friday and weekend folks :):):)

In our class for the moment at least it is still SOTW & you have to stay to get the basket~which makes sense to me other wise you wouldent get the fruit~or is it just me?
We were told about the mugshots too.

Lovely post rfd, you sound so much better today.

Thanks maman. From speaking to the lady at cruse, and my friend telling me about the 7 stages i feel completely different. I have been swimming in a black cloud for ages and not really knowing how to swim out of it.
I know what you mean... something you can just nibble (when you'd normally have crisps or nuts or something).

I would have the mug shots but I hate mushroom with a passion (the chicken has them) and not keen on the others :( I do try to recycle though! :)

boiled potatoes? This week i have boiled some spuds & sliced them up & been nibbling on them when i get an attack of the snacks. I also have packs of meat in the fridge (for EE/red days)

Yes we had two of those last week, awful, is there a thread on here anywhere about keeping them out of your house!! Do conkers really work????

I have conkers all over my flat, and i have only had one spider so far this year. I say they do work but others will say its a myth. :D
