  • Beanie - we've not been told yet?

im doing really well at it thank you. Extra bread seemed to make me gain when i did green days, so ive increased my syns. I only ever had 66 a week so any more than that is an improvement. I naturally eat the slimming world way because when i dont, i feel rubbish.

i find it such a healthy way of eating so im happy. Its taken me 14 months to get here, so delighted doesnt even explain it.:D

  • Morning all! (yes I really am posting at 03.50...) Can't sleep so popped in to see what there was to catch up on.

Breakfast: Satsuma, apple and maybe some tinned spaghetti
Lunch: sainsburys be good to yourself prawn cocktail (5.5syns) hoping to get some lettuce, sweetcorn and pepper to make a wrap or two with this whilst in town as I'm not such a fan of it on bread followed by an apple and banana
Dinner: I'm thinking cottage pie served up with peas, sweetcorn and carrots

HeA: Cheese - just need to check how much of what I have is a He...will do that later
HeB: Wholemeal pitta bread - will be melting the cheese on top with veggies as an extra meal/snack as I have a long day nannying today (7am-6pm!) om nom nom nom

Happy Monday to all, wishing everyone great weeks with happiness and wanted results at WI for all! Just remember if you have had a less fabulous week last week that this is a new day and a new week =)

  • Well done Zippychick, keep up the good work ;). Lush.. Morning Mrs Early Riser. :rotfl:
I am happy to say that I have "jetisoned" the obese catagory thanks to the Wii - and now merely "overweight" My Mii's waistline shrank visibly when it told me. Rather alarmingly :D infact! :j
Beanie - I have perhaps another 2 stone in mind to reach a happy weight. I don't ever want to be scrawny or fear falling through draincovers;)

I think it's important that you feel at home in your group, like you are welcome, after 5 months of doing this the idea of finding another like my old one is daunting.
Hubby and coming down with lurgy sabotaged my attempts yesterday so used all my syns for the first time this week, Cranberry Cheese is evil!

Going to see if I can successfully make syn free yorkshire puds this week :D:D:D:D I shall report back my attempts!

Breakfast today: weetabix drizzled with blueberry yoghurt and smothered in strawberries.
Lunch will be salad and tuna with either spud or rice.
Dinner is Cowboy pie (If I remember to get some smash as the tatties I have don't mash well)
snacks will be fruit, more than likely.
  • My thoughts were that at least you were prepared to engage in debate rather than use the Im an ostrich herd mentality and hide from anyone who challenges their knowledge.
I have no weight issues and have been buying size 34 inch trousers for the last 20 yrs.
what I do have issues with is a multi billion industry that preys on peoples fears and insecurities with half truths. People get overweight because they take in more than they expend. the reason they overeat is the problem yet the diet industry does nothing to correct this but instead sells you more rubbish.
In other words they are treating the symptom without any attempt at treating the problem.
Is that really a wrong point of view?

Excuse me for asking Absolutebounder, if you have no weight issues why are you hanging around a weightloss forum? If you have no weight issues how can you possibly understand what those of us who do have weight issues are going through? Do you also believe that the abusers of drink, drugs and cigarettes are wasting their time joining such groups as AA? The difference for people, like us, with food addictions is that this is a medical illness and unlike the abuse of drink, drugs and cigarettes, we can't just learn to live without them - we all need food to live. Food addicts have to learn how to eat in the right way and unfortunately that's not something most of us addicts can learn or control on our own but then as a non-addict I wouldn't expect you to understand that.

That being the case, I would kindly ask you, on behalf of ALL the members of this forum to please leave us alone because we have absolutely nothing to gain from your non-constructive posts and it seems that you have nothing to gain from being here. Non-constructive criticism is not what any of us needs here.

Oh, and just for the record Absolutebounder you will see that here is another success story - well done Zippychick - so we can't all be doing in the wrong way.

  • I think we should all ignore the misinformed troll who seems intent on upsetting the balance of this forum. Like already pointed out, if it werent working how come there are so many great loses and target members worldwide not just contained within this forum?

Good luck Kandf and any others heading towards the scales today.

This miserable weather means bye bye to salads and in with the warm comforting healthy stodge. Meal plan already written up for this week and while the weather is miserable may get more meals cooked out the way so they only need re-heating on day of use. Comes in handy too for sorting out reasonable lunch boxes for daughter for work.

    Today -
B muesli, yogurt and an apple.
L leek and potato soup hm.
T chicken and leek pie topped with sweet pot/white pot mash, green beans and broccoli.
    Syns, turkish apple tea (4)
