They have just had a make over and are 'new & improved' but i were told in group last week these newer ones are now syned at around 5.5 a packet!

Weigh in for me today. Daughter is considering joining as in her words she has a fat behind and needs to shift it. I have told her it would be pointless her joining for several reasons, 1) she is around 9 stone @ 5ft 3in, 2) this gives her a svelt size 10 figure - ok a little belly on her but nothing that wouldnt be resolved by eating loosely along the lines of what we have at home anyway so she wouldnt need to stick to plan 100% to see improvements.
The only reason she has had any weight gain in the past 8 months was living with her dad where everything was caked in grease, came from a jar or cooked in a deep fat fryer - despite her many protests. She also works at Mcdonalds and has been making use of the free meal on shift allowance - currently working 5days a week. Any way today she has had 2 cereal bars and banana, sent to work with cous cous, fruit bowl and f/f nat yog and tea will be the same as us at home. Can anyone see any point in her joining up? I know you have to set a target/10% weight off but would that seriously be worth it?

    My meals today are EE,

    B, grapes & strawbs
S, ryvita, quark, tsp honey & banana,
L, hm soup - not sure yet what to do will have a look in a while.
T, chickpea, bacon and cabbage with cous cous - recipe from bbc good food but easily converted to sw.

    Good morning all

There are some amazing weight losses on here :j
I've got to run this morning but will pop back this afternoon, just thought I'd write down my plan for today to see if it needs tweeking or if anybody had any other suggestions? It seems a bit complicated but I'm sure it's not once you get the hang of it! & I'm trying to use up what I already have in.

    EE day,
B:Slice wholemeal toast(HEB), poached egg, grilled bacon, mushrooms & tomatos
    D:Jacket potato & baked beans
    T:HM Leek&Potato soup, mullerlight,apple
    350ml skimmed milk (HEA)

I can't believe that the pasta & sauces are now syned  Always thought it was too good to be true!

    :rudolf:

You need some superfrees with your jacket spud.

    Hello to the Newbies:)

Well done to all the losers :T

Hugs to those who need them.
Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.
  • My day today is looking a bit bare atm but this is what I have so far (I often end up snacking/adding bits as I go)

    B: Mullerlight FatFree greek style (0.5syn) + 2 satsumas
    S1 (whilst out): Satsuma
S2 (once back): Hi Fi light + tea with milk from HeA
L: 1/2 pack savoury rice + some mixed veg
S: Apple + tea with milk from HeA
D: Not sure yet - Spagbol perhaps if I can get some mince
Treat: Options hot choc before bed (2 syn) 2 cadbury eclair sweets (1.5 syn each = 3syn)

So that's 5.5syns for today however I need to find a way to get more superfree in. Haven't been shopping yet since we got back from London so we're a bit low!

Going to grab some baking potatoes whilst out and see if I can get a few bits of salad veg too

Hope everyone has a good day, will pop in and out :)

    Hi all,
good to see all the newbies, welcome all.
    Pleased to report -2.5 tonight.
Had a bad few weeks really.
Was -4 under target, told to pay or put on, so put on 5.5, then lost 3 , then put on 1.5, so now -2.5 so going back in the right direction again. Pheww!!

its hard to stay exactly at target, i have had to tweek mine a few times, i am now 2.5lbs under my latest target, so only have a half pound more to play with if i loose, but almost half stone to play with if i put on!!

    Hi all,

Welcome Mrs Christmas  Sorry to jump straight in with a comment but agree that you could do with some SF with your lunch- maybe a piece of fruit or two afterwards?

MrsC & Kandf - I haven't heard this (although suspect I should add 'yet' to that). Not sure how they could have changed them so dramatically to account for 5.5 syns - Stef, did your leader say why they'd gone up so much? The database still says free but could be out of date.

Stef - I wouldn't say it was worth your daughter joining tbh, not if she can eat the same as you at home. If she still wants to maybe get her to try it at home for a few weeks and if she doesn't lose then she can join?

LLS & Gettingthere - well done on your losses :)

Late tea for us tonight - the darts season has started again so OH will be playing most weeks. It normally doesn't finish til 10 or 11 and then we have a 20 min drive home and sorting the cats out takes time, so end up eating about midnight. Last year we got takeaways half of the time, but it was always too late and we were too tired to enjoy them as well as being too much to eat before bed. This year I'm making sure we have something that can be kept overnight on a Wednesday and make double portions; this week is Thai curry. Also made a salmon, prawn and veggie quiche last night so that's 2 days' lunch sorted :)

    EE today:

    B: Weetabix (B), banana, milk (A)
L: Quiche (1 for parmesan), nectarine
T: Thai red chicken curry & rice (1)
S: Pineapple, and meant to be a cereal bar for mid afternoon but just realised I forgot to bring it :(

Have a good day all :)

Thanks Blodwen for affirming what i suspected.

RE: pasta and sauce, consultant just said an email had been circulated from head office stating that the new and improved versions have gone up to around 5.5 depending on flavour. As i have only got the older ones in the house at the minute not bought any to see what the difference could be. Would it be possible that they have done away with the need to mix water and milk to make it the traditional way by swapping to a powdered milk so only having to top up with water?? I will bring it up again in class tonight and see if there is any further clarification.

Ahh possibly, I'll ask on Monday but would be great if you could find out any more tonight, thanks :)

MrsC, I looked at my book last night and I think if you had your bacon as a HEX your menu would be fine for Green. The SF comments are about EE, although even on Green you can't have too much f&v;) Anyone who does Green got a view?

I'm finding just that piglet. WI for me this morning after two weeks and I lost 3lbs! I thought I'd had enough flexi meals to STS but obviously not. I'm now out of my target range and will have to pay next week unless I stuff my face or go dressed up like the Michelin man!!
  • hmm well last night dad decided he wanted veggie roll and boiled potatoes and beans for tea. so munched through grapes after to make me feel slightly better about it (he doesnt seem to like vegetables with dinner oddly.) so yesterday may aswell be an EE at best.

today it is hammering with rain (nothing new there:p) so breakfast was a cuppa and a large handful of grapes. lunch will probably be vegetable soup again (yum yum in my tum)... really would quite like a sandwich from the deli though (trying to distract myself by saying its over my limit HE's and therefore not worth it lol!)

have to go visit mr T on the way home - house is severely lacking in fruit and veg at the minute - even frozen... actually might go and visit the land of ice too so i have a backup :)

hmm think i need to try that dynorod soup lol. either that or start eating weetabix again :o
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:
