Just about to start work as workmen noisily work on the road outside - of course they do! A right shambles at the Dr's yesterday as it turned out someone had cancelled my appt, hey ho let's see what the Dr says today if they ring as arranged.

Totalled up my end of month repayments and debt and my total credit card and loan debt has dropped to under £10,000 for the first time in a long time, meaning in 9 months I have repaid £6000 - all that hard work is paying off.

Of course, still a long way to go, I know that, however, I'm really happy with the progress made so far and I can see light at the end of the tunnel now. I worked where I should be in 15 months time by continuing the repayments I have planned and that will be an even better place than now!

Of course, my priority is to get back in credit and out of my overdraft and that is the priority for the next 3 months then maintain being in credit from there. So my strict budget plan has been tightened up slightly from the last 6 months and won't be too difficult to stick to as I've been sticking to this for that time. All the hard work will be worth it to get to that point believe me - I will have the biggest smile on my face come October!

A NSD today - will declare later on though for certain!

All sorted out now - going back to work next Tuesday, hopefully last wound dressing appt tomorrow.

Did an hour and half on dissertation this morning - can't find some info - will be somewhere but who knows where! Anyway, found out more references at the same time. Have linked in some theories to the analysis and might even have a go at writing later today - eek!

Woo hoo! I wrote a first draft of one section of my results for the research - yeah! Also detail planned the discussion section AND found lots more articles for the literature review background section. It's coming together at last. Tomorrow will be another section of results written at least.

Not much else to report apart from finally getting to grips with those results at last. Think I might do some more paperwork sorting out tonight as I've enough of work for one day

Tomorrow is payday and the start of my continuing plan to address my debts and my overdraft and get back into credit. My plan is clear and strong in my mind and on paper. Can't wait!

A good start to the day

    Budgets all transfered for:
    Car
    Birthday and Christmas presents
    Hair
    Dog
    Graduation
    Teeth and glasses

All accounted for and ledger notebook updated with balances and my finances notebook.

Meter readings submitted waiting for my bill and reading came in at expected amount thankfully. Also caught up with the missed Christmas budget payment for May as I don't have another payment going out this month so that's back on track for the target total of £200 by end November.

First stage of plan working well and completed. Next stage is to draw out the food shopping budget and stick to this. I've written a strict list to stick to but this will be a challenge non the less. Might take my calculator with me to stay on track better

More progress made - I stuck to my weely food budget! Yeah, made it under £25! Drew out the monthly budget and stuck to the list and the weekly amount. Taking a calculator definitely helped me to keep track of the spends too - will do this all month for the weekly shop to keep on track.

Gas and elec bill paid as per budget plan as bills are not counted by me as luxury spends which is the focus of my NSD challenge.

Went for wound dressing appt and the nurse apolgised for the mix up that occurred on Wed when the clinic and my appt were cancelled in error. Wound healing well and from tomorrow I can try a day without a dressing on which will be really nice after 2 weeks!

Things sound like they are on the up and up..... I hope so :-)

Last night I went back to your original diary and started to read from the beginning...... It's very inspiring. I love your lists and how you keep track of your thoughts and actions. I love how I can follow your progress and ideas and see how you put them into action. You don't just talk the talk, you walk the walk as well Xx.

Thank you for a glimpse into your life, I appreciate the time and effort you take in detailing all your posts. A lovely read :-)

Stagnent dormant pension fund details found out ready for a chat with a financial advisor once this dissertation is out of the way. Aiming to do this before the end of the year and either restart it or transfer it by which point I should be back in credit.

    2 jobs to do:
Sort out personal pension as 2nd top up pension
Sort out a long term savings plan - speak to bank first about best way to start year1

Decided to have a day off the dissertation today aside from some rearranging of result concepts into a different order.

Did the housework instead and washing. Only a run round with the hoover tomorrow and one lot of washing - brill!

So tomorrow I WILL be writing and listing on fleabay as its free listing weekend again - yeah!

Hey ho, busy typing up my written words into sense to read and increase that word count!

Ordered 2 Christmas presents in the sale this morning using my christmas budget money - felt a bit weird spending it after saving it all year but that was the whole point save it to spend on family christmas presents instead of skinting myself from October onwards. 2 down then for £18 instead of £37.50 - very pleased!

Also, means I can count today as NSD 23 and I'm on target for my 3rd no spend clothes month in a row! Now that's something I would not have believed a few months ago.
