Had a very lazy day yesterday - managed the shopping, cleaning and dog walking but not much else. Had a bit of a flop on the sofa watching some stuff off the Sky Box and Seven Psychopaths - quite good, would recommend it.

Been good and have done all of the schoolwork this morning whilst watching the marathon so I'm all ready for the week ahead now.
Every year I watch the marathon I think I want to do that - at least over the last year I've started running - couldn't run for a bus before! Maybe one day.....

Off to the gym this afternoon for a sweaty hour or so - will do me good to have a stretch out as I've been so busy with work this week that there's been a lot of sitting report writing and not much movement apart from dogwalking.
Feel much better for my day of sloth yesterday - reinvigorated :)

    Hi Grippers

Had a busy couple of days socialising etc. and had too much to drink reallyso not feeling the best, my own fault!
Been on the scoff too, cakes, scones and currant teacakes and not got the excuse of cold weather anymore.

Anyway, like you Skint I have done a financial spring clean and got everything down to the bare bones now Sky is cancelled. From next month £240.00 per month going into savings split into 3 accounts (SIPP, S&S Isa and Regular monthly saver.) I could be made redundant in the next 2 or 3 years so trying to make provision. It has to be done Grippers!

Next weekend is the "Personal Spring Clean" !!!! Clothes, hair and the setting up of my fitness regime. The weekend after is the "New Social Life" plan to meet some new people. Hope you are all impressed, I will report back with progress!

How are you doing with Spice WW?
Kitty, I know how hard it is when you are skint. I think the main thing is not to take on additional credit if it can be avoided. I know its easier when you are on your own (no kids) so I sympathise.

    Bye for now x

    Hi Sanch.
Well done on the money makeover - hope you adjust to life without Sky - you can always pop round to mine if desperate!

You'll be like a new woman by the end of the month! All these plans - good to have a goal though. As you know I'm a big fan of lists!
With regards to Spice I'm still doing the odd thing here and there - funnily enough I've just been looking at the website as I have a credit note burning a hole in my virtual pocket ;)

Been to the gym and ran 6k without stopping - hard work but I did it. Took the dog for a good walk before the rain started.
Then had a nice long soak in the bath and a read of my book.
Just about to make some nice healthy tea and then settle down to watch a movie. Back to the grind tomorrow...
  • Hi All

WW - 6K run without stopping? That's great you are obviously getting fitter and fitter!
Skint - how did it go with Virgin Media?
Kitty - how are things with you?

Not much to report from me. Been doing all the usual stuff got a busy week ahead at work so will be nose to the grindstone time. Will report back at the weekend when I am hoping to get a long walk in Sunday.

    Tara for now Grippers x

Not been around this week - one word OFSTED!!!:eek::eek:

We had the dreaded inspection Weds and Thurs only being told about it on Tues at 2pm. I;ve had 3 hours sleep a night and am shattered.
But on the positive side I got an outstanding grading and so did the school:j:j
Haven't eaten properly for 2 days so just had a frozen pizza for tea - diet and exercise have completely gone out of the window this week.:rotfl:

Looking forward to a soak in the bath and an early night....

    Evening Grippers

As a change from my usual food obsessed posts and before I start this weekends spring clean of me and my wardrobe thought this might be something to thinkabout:-

What do we really really want? (Sound like a Spice Girl there)

How do we connect with what we really want and stop putting off being happy for something that will happen some time "in the future"?

Any ideas ? Im feeling in a philosophical mood!

Far too deep and meaningful for ths time on a Friday night Sanch!

Working nights all weekend, and possibly next week too (at the moment its only until Monday morning, but could go on longer) so trying to be sensible about my eating. Normally when I work nights my body clock is so out of synch that I end up eating every couple of hours. Need to stop that this time around.

Aiming to walk home from work in the morning if I have the energy, but to be honest, I feel shattered already and I've still got over 8 hours to go! Gulp!

Mowed the lawns this evening - first time this year. Amazing how quickly they went from being short to looking like a jungle just because we had a couple of warmer days. Oh well, its out of the way for a few more days at least.
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done
