I had the odd attack on and off for the first couple of years and they lasted for about 30 - 45 mins then they increased in amount and how long they lasted and in the final 7 - 8 months I was getting attacks almost every 2 weeks and they would last for hours.
Each time before an attack Id get a funny taste in my mouth and I knew Id have to get a hospital bag together, it was awful, they would give me morphine in hospital but it didn't really touch the pain just made me really tired...I guess they gave it me to make me too tired to moan ha ha.
Ive never been so happy to have an operation, Its been about 7 years now since I had my gall bladder removed and if I eat food thats too fatty I get a little bit of pain, nothing too extreme but apart from that and a few scars Im fine.
So there is light at the end of the tunnel, I don't think I cam pm yet but if you want you can have my email address, I check them often so if you get pains even in the middle of the night just email and if Im awake Ill email back and it will hopefully take your mind off the pain slightly, I understand what you are going through and wouldn't wish it on anybody xx
MallowBrain-Thank you so much for your message. It was very kind of you to post that.
I have my pre assessment tomorrow morning, then as long as my scan comes back and the surgeon is happy, my op will be on the 22nd. Not long to wait. Am really trying hard with the low fat eating. Found that tesco sell chocolate mousse that is ok for me to eat, so that will be ok for the choccy cravings. Quavers might sort the cheese cravings. It's boring being restricted, though.
To top it all, both my back and my knee are VERY sore today, so I've not been able to do as much as I wanted this weekend. Got some Halloween decs up and a bit of sorting. No food order yet and there's still several fairly urgent things on my list, but they'll have to be done in the week.
Did you have keyhole surgery for your gall bladder? Amazing what they can do these days. How long did it take you to recover?Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Louise-Those frames are great. I must have a trip to IKEA soon. I really do love those fairies. :T
Chickywiggle-Welcome home! Hope your family enjoyed the lights.
Love the stitchers days of christmas chart. Very tempted...:o
Any carbonara left? I ADORE it.
laura2481-I've never managed French knots very well. I cheat and use beads.
postingalwaysposting-Nice to have you back. That rose chart is going to be gorgeous.
MallowBrain-The Nimble Thimble also sell Lizzie Kate charts, but she doesn't have a website. The owner is very helpful, though and will probably track down anything that she doesn't have in stock. Her shop (near-ish Oswestry) is LOVELY and well worth a visit.
brednall-Love your blackwork owl! The back is very neat too. Very brave of you to post that. Not sure I'd be brave enough to post the back of some of mine.
Sweetcarer-That design work so well on the patterned aida.
Right, in too much pain sat on this chair, so I'm off to bed. Night all!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Brednall - your owl is lovely and the back is so very neat.
Sweetcarer - the girl looks great on that fabric but I can see what your hubby means.
Flateric - having a browse of Celtic Rose now, didn't know you could stitch such things. Not sure if any will make my to do list and if they did don't know where they would go!
Ruth - hope tomorrow goes well.
Chicky - I second Maria's comments, I love my machine. I haven't made any clothes on it but I have altered thingsand done curtains, cushions, bags and quilts. Have a look at the Sewing Room forum on here if you get the chance. Nearly forgot to say well done on your cooking.
Here's the update on Charlie Bear.

Just a quick update for 'Project 12'
week 1 update, not too bad considering I fell out with it for having quarter stitches then didn't touch it for 2 days after I made a mistake stitching lol
Looking at it now, I REALLY wish I had stitched the 'Twelve Days' in Red (321) instead of the recommended balck. Too late now, I'm not unpicking all thatCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I've had a few people mention unknown members asking for charts.....I know we love to be friendly and always help where we can but....please remember copyright rules when responding to any requests.
It would be all to ready for an artist to google her name, see this thread, join up and try to get you to break the rules.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

would it not work if you stitched the twelve days of ... in black and the word christmas in red?
so feeling much better than I did yesterday and guess what, I'm back at work! yay!:rotfl: oh well. I am now much more organised with my cross stitch bits :j and have plenty of projects to keep me busy over the autumn/winter months ahead :T
Have a good day all :j0 -
Loving all the update pictures.
Louise - what do you use to mark out your fabric please? I have a few larger projects and I think I might need to mark them out rather than counting, recounting and recounting again!!

brednall the pen i have looks similar to the one louise uses its from a craft shop that sells sewing items and has water erasable pen medium tip written on it in black its a white pen with a blue lid.
test it on a piece of scrap adia first.
i had a disaster with a pen for marking cloured adia that left white marks all over that wouldnt wash out but that was imported via evilbaySPC~12 ot 124
