• I've just been very naughty. I'm sorry!

I am just back from the craft show in exeter and I spent loads of money at the Polstitches stall :( Still I have all the bits and bobs I need for the next 3 projects I suppose - always a light at the end of the tunnel eh :)

Now I am about to be ever more naughty and have fish and chips for tea. Yay!

Sorry to all the people with selfish hubbies - it's days like today that make me grateful to be single (who thought I'd ever say that eh :) )
• tell me its friday, yummy fish and chips got the littlest imp fish and chip shop, but didnt get myself anything :(

being naughty is good, i take it you had a good time then?

Lurking as usual...btw whoever posted link to http://www.artsanddesigns.com/ cheers :) It's a really reasonably priced site and has loads of good patterns. I also found a freebie blackwork easter egg and they have other lovely blackwork bits. I've gone through all pages and added lots to my wish list. Also checked out all the Lizzie Kates on sew and sew and there is not as many on my wish list as i thought there would be. I think there are about 5 that I would like to stitch some day.

Right i'm off again still feel crappy and too ill to stitch :(

Hope others are feeling better.

Btw I think my friend has a copy of the home sweet home chart and is willing to sell the mag, so pm if interested.

Oh, love the idea of a stitchers day of christmas sal next year
and the poem made me smile :)
• sounds like you've had the best day out of all of us TMIF.

<<hugs>> to you too brednall.

Now HOW do i get DS1 interested in going back to footie?? Just when I've pursuaded him to get back into going to rugby the company running it text to say it is cancelled until further notice because they have hardly anyone coming............. funny that when they don't advertise anywhere?!!!!!!!!!! They made me sooo cross. text last week (sunday am) to say that days one was cancelled as they don't have many attending). They text a few sundays before that at an hours or so notice to say due to staff sickness they were cancelling that day.

Have told them I want a re-fund on my pre-paid sessions so gotta work out what they owe me tomorrow.

I need SOMETHING for him to do at the weekends my feet need some space :rotfl:
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

PAP - welcome back, missed your post earlier. Glad you didn't desert us.

TMIF - glad you had a good day out. What did you buy? Very nosey I know but you know what we're like.

Hope those who were having problems/issues with other halves get a better day tomorrow and all those feeling ill feel a bit better soon.

Off to bed now. Will post progress on Charlie Bear tomorrow but have to say it's soooooo very boring to stitch.

Flateric - I would use a piece of aida larger than you need, just in case of any fraying, better safe than sorry. Sounds like a lovely idea though :)
I think this should be our christmas project for next year.

"On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me Twelve pairs of Ginghers, Eleven golden needles, Ten cuts of linen, Nine bags of buttons, Eight silver thimbles, Seven fine new patterns, Six Chatelaines, Five skeins of silk, Four hours free to stitch, Three stitching frames, Two sewing birds, and a hatbox full of overdyed threads".

That is brilliant! :T

So while me and DS1 have treked to ASDA and back he 'looked after' DS2. What this means is I have come back to him laid out on the sofa playing on the PS3......... where I am pretty sure he will stay for the rest of the day.

I have to admit - I would have sat down and done my own thing and when he wondered where dinner was I would have a little discussion about family responsibilities then....

its every Saturday and it really seems unfair, but maybe I'm just being over sensetive? ok rant over!

I think you're completely right. If it's all weekend, every weekend then it's not just you being awkward!

Hobbies are wonderful, and it's great for people to do their own thing, but if it's to the detriment of the family spending time together then it's really too much. I would feel the same as you if my OH did that.

MrsMP - I like that date - 10.11.12. Think I might start something on that date and plan to finish it on 11.12.13 (now that's planning ahead).

I really am going to bed now. Have spent the last hour looking at the artandcraft website. Now have several new things on my "to do" list, including Blackwork Shipping forecast and Westie Tapestry Cushion Cover (although this needs to come down in price before I can stitch it for my MIL).
