    Hi ladies.

Thanks for the get well wishes :) I feel a little better in that my sore throat has gone but I am now just full of yucky cold.
Didn't stitch yesterday, couldn't concentrate on anything for long enough.
If my headache stays away this afternoon I'll try and get some stitches done.

    Welcome Vikki Louise.

Caroline. Thanks for the ebay code. I was just this minute writing the info down to give hubby first use of it before I went off and got a kit for next to nothing when I realised it ran out last night :rotfl: Just my luck!!

Well I had some luck in IKEA yesterday, I picked up two frames for £9 each and framed a couple of things I finished recently. I was particularly pleased with the fairy stitch, you would think the frame had been made for it, it is such a perfect size

It also means more blue (completed) than red (stored in box) listed in my siggy haha

I need to go back and get more of those frames now :rotfl: The only slight issue I have with them is the mount is creamy and I would have preferred it white, but that's not a huge problem.

    Great bargain

They both look fabulous. I think the cream mount looks better than white would have done as your fabric is white JMHO.

I copied your idea for my signature though I used bold for finished items and plain text for items where I have only done the XS and then stored them for future finishing. You are putting me to shame as I have too many items not in bold :(

I know you didn't get any response last time but I think you should send a photo of your fairies piece to the magazine

Louise your completed pictures, particularly the fairy look lovely framed. I have added my Project 12 designs to the list. Decided on them this morning, I went back to bed as I felt yuk and looked through magazines/books for inspiration. Both charts are from Jane Greenoff's Year in Stitches. Will try to post a picture of what I'm aiming at.

  • Afternoon all

Nearly finished my blackwork owl - just one wing left to fill. I'm very pleased with how it has come together. Can't find any more in that series though. Have ordered some other blackwork designs from ebay but they are more just backstitch but look nice. I will try and add a photo soon so you can see.

Been looking at lots of other kits as every post leads me into temptation(!) but I ordered a chart of a christmas tree yesterday from Celtic Rose Needlecraft and that looks like it will stitch up lovely - only 2 colours too. Can't find any reasonably priced Lizzie Kate kits and all the Cinnamon Cat christmas kits I like are soooo expensive as are a few Permin card kits that I saw in the stitcher catalogue that came with a recent mag.

Good luck with all your exchange stitching - can't wait to see pictures.
