I'm doing family hand prints for 12.12.12
And Valentine heart for20.12.2012
Thanks Louise x13 in 2013 challenge 9/130 -
Louise - love purple fairy and xmas cupcakes.
Ailsb - hope you are feeling much better today.
shelly - sorry to hear you have been unwell. Hope you are feeling much better today too.
Flat Eric - noticed Newton yesterday in some of the mags I was flicking through for inspiration for Project 12. I will pull them out again and see if I can add to Ailsb's list (we probably have the same ones). Probably a wise decision on friend's gift especially if funds are tight.
Would have liked to have stitched a cushion for a friend for the Project 12 but I am frightened that my 'not-cross stitching stitching' is not up to a good enough standard.. I have however found a lickle Boofle chart I might stitch for DH but the jury is still out on that one. Have decided on the xmas card exchange design (still the same one I decided on over 24hrs ago)
but now I'm waiting for aida to arrive from Cross Stitch Heaven. In the meantime I've started on a couple of the robin cards that were in the lastest WOCS.
Take care everyone,

following my earlier post, if anyone recognises this newton chart which featured in WOXS, can you tell me what issue its from? I'm not paying what this seller is charging for just the chart, I could probably get the whole magazine for that price!
I'm really cross because I have that chart - I even started the design (certainly once - possibly twice) and I have lost both !
I have to say I am banning myself from doing ANY cross stitch this weekend until I have sorted out my cross stitch. I am fed up of having half finished projects that I lose or the material / threads / chart all become separated or I lose everything altogether
Everything is going to have a home and I will finish things instead of leaving them half finished forever more.0 -
Hi, I've not cross stitched for years but have been stuck in hospital the past couple of months. One of the staff has very kindly given me the kit to do this home sweet home one (the lady on the blog has turned here into a cushion) http://www.marthaafterhours.blogspot.co.uk/2011/08/home-sweet-home-retro-cross-stitch.html
The kit has a picture on the front, the material, thread and needle but no chart. Are you meant to be able to do them from the picture (it looks hard to count the switches), if not does anyone know where I might be able to find the pattern please? I think the kits from a magazine but I don't know which. Thank youBest wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

Flat Eric - found these Newtons
Issue 180 - You are my sunshine - sitting in rain
Issue 184 - Deck the Halls with splats of icing
These are the only extra ones I have. Cant help with the Dont want to go to bed one - sorry.
The cushion I mentioned in above post (possible Project 12) is in WOCS Issue 194 'Friends are Angels Around Us'.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Have bought myself a large piece of iridescent white aida for the Christmas ABC (plain white too boring for me! :rotfl:) and only paid 95p postage.
Next thing to buy is SKY+ remote as ours is playing up. Was gonna buy from Argos, but this makes is way cheaper.
Edited to add-can only use it once per Paypal account too. Mine needs reactivating, so used DH account. Aida was fine, but 2nd order wouldn't go through because code already used. Oh well, at least I got discount on my fabric. Tee hee...Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Just a quick one as been feeling so ill and headachy last few days.
Anyway after some googling, the home sweet home was the free cover kit from from Cross Stitcher Magazine – August 2010 - my bad just realised NMM had already tracked it down.
P.s Love the fairy Louise. colours look lovely.
Thanks Maria for checking again
And thanks to the person who posted the ebay code, I would never pay over £6 for a Quilling board but was quite happy to pay £1.15 inc p+p
Loving all other updates and welcome again to newbies.
Hopefully will be more chatty once I feel a bit better, at the mo, just lurking lots.0
