Found another Newtons pattern - Issue 174 - Start the day as you mean to go on. Newton as a waiter with a tray containing champagne and 2 flutes.
Can't help with the bed pattern - sorry.
Have finished my card for the exchange. Has taken ages due to colour changes etc (hope I've not said too much). not sure if it will fit in the aperature card I have on order. If not I will have to cut one myself.
Missed out on the £5 ebay code - but thanks for posting it. Ordered a piece of iridescent aida anyway as I need it to stitch the fairies on.
Quick question - when I frame things myself I leave about 2 inches around the design so that I can lace the back. If I were to use one of the pieces of aida I have on ordered (5x7) could I still frame this or is this size only suitable for a card?Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Was starting to get myself in a tiz about what I needed to finish by Christmas and started to think about what I'd finished this year. I've updated my signature with my completed pieces and was quite surprised with what I've finished this year. It's given me the kick that I needed to carry on with my to do list. I think I will get things completed by Christmas.
Having added in Project 12. Still thinking about finishing my advent calendar but need to check how much needs to be completed.
Going to concentrate on presents for others and not worry about the turtle for my son or the Sri Lanka sampler. Will do it if I get time but not going to stress myself about it.
Also have an advent calendar panel to quilt for Charlie which isn't included in my list as it's not cross stitch.
Was thinking about my question re the size of aida from earlier. Would it work if I mounted the aida in a card and then framed it?Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Shouldn't be any problem framing it. Just fit it onto the back of the mount in the same way you would fit it into a card aperture. Hope that makes sense to you Ailsb - it's still early
Might do backstitch on a xmas card I started last night while I await my shower. DS has just beaten me into the bathroom (will excuse him as he has to go out by 7am)
Take care everyone

Good Morning everyone, my apologies I haven't been on here in ages!
:snow_grin It's getting to the time of year I start thinking about Christmas, so I've found all my cross stitch UFOs to see if I can actually finish any this time!!! I have discovered 2 gingerbread houses that I bought for Christmas tree decorations that I am going to try and finish before December (if life doesn't keep getting in the way!). I'm also very lucky that my mum has offered to have my polar bear picture framed for me as a Christmas present. So excited, I only finished that one about 12 months ago LOL!!! I've framed all my own before (and they aren't great, I can't wait to see how it turns out :T).
Anyway, big hello and hugs to everyone and sorry for letting my cross stitching slip for so long, I promise to try harder this time :rotfl::xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:0 -
Flat Eric I have the newton chart that you are looking for - the one about not wanting to go to bed. PM your address and it's yours. Are you looking for any of the others? It's a good excuse to go through my mags again!!!

I don't think so - but I think there's only a few of us who have decided on something. If those joining in could remind us all what they are stitching, I can use my post on the first page to keep a record everyone's design and progress. (If that's okay with you all?)
I think that's a great idea - my 12 12 12 project is Christmas Cheer but I haven't decided on anything for 20 12 2012 yet0 -

Yes this will work - I've done it with some cards I've received in the past. The card acts like the mount- these are now part of my Christmas decorations each year
