Hi flowerofscotland - I have actually ordered this chart this afternoon before i read your message. I will look at the thread requirements when I comes but I can't see it needing 4 skeins of red either. I want to do the little girl one too but this one looked the more simpler of the two to begin with. I also got a kit in the sale oooops!!

Hubby got a wee promotion at work...He was only doing about 20 hours a week cleaning, and they have asked him if he would be willing to stay on as Housekeeper. So when he finishes his own job at 7pm he will stay on until Midnight.
His wages have doubled and due to him working more than 30 hours a week we get an extra £40 per week tax credits...
I am so pleased....xx;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
TellMeIt'sFriday - she is truly stunning, and the fabric is beautiful.
Well, after 3 long days at work, I think the backlog from my week off has nearly gone, just got month end to get through now!
Got my design for the christmas card exchange sorted, and hopefully should start it this evening.
ETA - great news Caroline0 -

nmm - thanks for pointing us in the direction of cross stitch heaven. Placed order for 1 irridescent, 2 lurex, 1 ice blue, sample pack and one floss for just over £3 delivered - amazing :j
laura - I think we have had similar problems re decidiing on what to stitch for xmas exchange. I have gone through more mags etc today, changing my mind as I move down the pile. The trouble is I think we all have different tastes and ideas but I'm sure we will all appreciate the effort we have made. I am not confident to chart my own design but I think I may have settled on a card design now btw (well it hasn't changed in the past hour anyway). I will have to wait now for postie to bring some of the new aida I've just ordered.
caroline - so pleased to hear your good news :T
Still haven't decided on a 12/12/12 project.Would have loved it to be Sleeping Beauty but there is far to much to be completed in time and I just know I would be setting myself up to fail. If I had been able to continue stitching continuously since I first started I might have been in with a chance but sadly it was not meant to be. I shall keep scouring around to see if I can find something smaller to stitch as I would love to take part in this challenge.
Take care everyone
