Finally got round to hand washing lilliput lane cross stitch this afternoon in stardrops plus a little bit of pre wash soap (Morrisons version of Vanish) and the marks appear to have gone!!:j:j waiting for it to dry completely but so far so good
Just wanted to say thanks to Augustsmummy for the star drops suggestion and for others for their input too.
Have decided to finish that kit before starting the tatty ted kit with rabbit also planning to do a tatty ted card for my friends 30th in October just hoping she can find the alphabet from her tatty ted birth sampler as want to use it for the tatty ted with rabbits to put our daughters names on them plus could use the alphabet chart for her card.
Loving everyone's progress still popping in every day
Great news - it's like getting a free kit0 -

I have just realised this morning that I have confused two symbols on Sleeping Beauty - the colours are at opposite ends of the spectrum - how could I be so dense
Will see how much I can unpick and restitch over the next couple of days - only 3 A4 pages to check.
On the brighter side of life, I won an auction for a new kit on Eb@y this morning (so that I can get more practice at sorting colours).
Oh well, better dash and get back to the unpicking.
Will catch up properly later today with you all.
Hope you all manage some worthwhile stitchy time.

How frustrating. I did something similar on my Stitcher's 12 Days piece and stitched with green instead of off white - no alternative but to reverse stitch it
What kit did you win?0 -
Afternoon all,
Picked up 2 more pictures from the framers last week:
Hopefully finish a birth sampler this afternoon and then got that an buttercup farm to wash and iron.

These are stunning. I especially like the Elegant Lady - I've done one of these Heritage kits and would like to do more as think they are very effective0 -

Hi guys, love everyone's updates and finished pieces so many different projects on the go
Latest BD update, nearly finished this page I hope to have it completed this week.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
Morning everyone
I spent most of last week and the weekend dealing with the replacement of the boiler and its aftermath - the installation involved drilling through internal and external walls so everywhere is covered with a fine layer of gritty dust
So not a lot of stitching as I was tired in the evenings and I know from past experience that stitching whilst tired just leads to mistakes.
I did do some stitching on the Thomas stocking (Shepherd's Bush design)
Thomas Stocking 3/313 by stitchyfeather, on Flickr
and also made a simple Mother's Day card and a bookmark to go with the book I have bought for Mum

I finished these on 1 3 13 as I love these special dates
Hope everyone has a good day - it definitely feels like Spring has arrived. Which reminds me - I must swap my Celtic Lady and display Spring instead of Christmas0 -
Here's my latest finish........ my 1st 'bug' for the Sandy Hook quilt project.
Gonna pick up dinosaur ABC again now............
Off to have a catch up on the thread now.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

Just said to DH that I didn't know what to do next and he said 'Go and stitch for a couple of hours as we have a busy week next week'. Not waiting to be told twice in case he finds something else for me to do.The_Dragon wrote: »Currently learning myself as I can no longer stitchmrs-moneypenny wrote: »charlierabbit, try notto let the big projects turn into chores maybe do a little cover kit or something small like a card to get you back into stitching then get your big project out again and set yourself a couple of hours a week or goals like areas to complete. (a certain number of stitches a day maybe) hopefully you will soon get back into it.
If a project is annoying me it gets banished until I can face it again.
Lovely finished projects Julie0511, JCS1, mumto2boys
I reallly love your purplework sweetcarer, mrs-moneypenny It's amazing how backstitch can 'create' a picture.
Not a fan of dancing and singing programmes normally Ruth_honey - but I love the voice (that's back on soon YAY) and I am really enjoying Lets dance for Comic relief.PS I knew there was something else I wanted to mention.... is anyone playing farm ville 2 ? another thing I've been playing over the last few days and another thing that is likely to scupper my cross stitch time although I have to say, I'm not warming to it like I warmed to farm ville 1!
Hi perrywinkle  Hope you choose a project soon and start showing us updates.I was having a nice relaxing evening until someone with a clipboard and a charity badge knocked at my door. To be fair I didn't really give them chance to speak and told them I wasn't interested but I had to tell them about 5 or 6 times and they clearly took great offense with the "have a nice evening" said through gritted teeth. I actually feel upset and a bit shaky (daft as that seems) but my OH is out at the moment and I really do not see the appeal of giving a complete strange my bank details.
I support charity in my own way. I wish I had said something other than I'm not interested now !!
My view exactly. It drives me up the wall when I am on my lunch break/ way home and get stopped by chuggers. OR around here it is knocking on my door at 9pm to try and get me to donate - they don't even get a polite goodbye before I slam the door in their face at that hour!!
I've tried complaining but you don't even get an apology. And it's not just one but all of them.
blue_eyed_girl hope you have managed to sort Sleeping Beauty- was it really that obvious or could you have tweaked it and changed the whole thing?
DS1 accidently put on 'absolute80s' radio station on Sky yesterday - I LOVE it. Tho not getting a chance to have it on in between Thomas, Dora, Peppa Pig and Team Umizoomi.
YAY after nearly 2 weeks of waking up to a freezing cold house due to the boiler dropping too much pressure and not coming on the man has eventually been out today and fitted a new part.
on another non-stitchy note How much would I love to have gone to the cake and bake show. but typically it's when we're on holidayloves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
