Wow, everyone's work is amazing, so neatly stitched as well. I'm afraid my stitches get a bit uneven at times, probably because the cat insists on sitting on my lap with his head resting on my left arm !
Chickywiggle thank you for the link to Tesco cards, I had no idea they did that sort of thing.
Can I ask you all if you put pics of your finished works of art "on-line" for people to see, and if so where ?
No stitching for me this morning, I go "cat cuddling" at our local Cats Protection home to socialise cats waiting to be adopted, it's very relaxing.

Hi everyone,
Apologies for lurking a bit recently.

If you want to go to the one at the NEC a week later, then a 1 day ticket is £3.50 worth of Tesco points (much better than £10!)
(Google Tesco ICHF - am on my phone and can't work out how to post links!!)0 -

Hi ladies.
Soulie. Nice finishes, Mr Mischief made me smile
beg. She's coming along beautifully!
Evenweave scared me too at first but once you try it it's nice to use. My first encounter of it was when I won a kit on ebay and it arrived with evenweave rather than aida. I read the instructions and it mentioned stitching '2 over 2' and as I hadn't heard of it, I asked about it here and was told what it meant. Had I not asked I would most likely have used it the same as aida and ended up with a rather small Noah's Ark
I haven't yet done that kit but have used evenweave with another kit and it's nice to use.
I find evenweave less forgiving than aida so I try not to pull the stitches too tight and I don't have it pulled/stretched too tightly on my frame as it easily distorts. Also it's much easier for doing fractional stitches.
Erics Mum. The only place my work gets seen online is here in the Cafe. Though sometimes I have seen cafe pics appear in a google image search, mine included:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
evenweave scares me too - far too much thinking involved.
my pics are on here and flikr. occasionally facebook.
it does still shock me when they appear in google image results.
I officially complained about tesco cards charging 60p postage when stating it was free - OTT you might think..... not when it was fueled by anger at tesco staff's incompetance to respond to a simple query.
cuddling cats sounds a lovely thing to do.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
