  • Thanks for the warm welcome.
Still waiting for some charts to arrive before I decide on the next challenge in the meantime will continue with some small free kits. Thinking that I might do the hug cushion by Emily Peacock as it would be nice to do this for my daughter as she will be moving on to University or College in the near future and think she would like this but once the chart arrives will need to look into the materials needed. Along with this might do a smaller kit as from what I’ve read the cushion would be a long term project and I’m not a very fast stitcher and doing something smaller at the same time might just help keep me motivated. Flowerofscotland – as you suggested I might also look at passing on the Winnie the Pooh UFO.
Hope everybody has a good day.

    Hi all!
Is anyone here a fan of 'Parks and Recreation'? I've been watching it and then I found THIS on Pinterest. Might make a nice change from the Great Wall :)

I'm hoping to do a bit of stitching this weekend. :j Haven't managed ANY for weeks :( Sadly the house also needs a bit of a tidy up ....

I was having a nice relaxing evening until someone with a clipboard and a charity badge knocked at my door. To be fair I didn't really give them chance to speak and told them I wasn't interested but I had to tell them about 5 or 6 times and they clearly took great offense with the "have a nice evening" said through gritted teeth. I actually feel upset and a bit shaky (daft as that seems) but my OH is out at the moment and I really do not see the appeal of giving a complete strange my bank details.

I support charity in my own way. I wish I had said something other than I'm not interested now !!

    It's a good start Winnie :) Yay!

I've somewhat stalled on mine - I am indulging my current obsession of crochet at the moment :o

10 days??? How on earth did you cope? I was crying in pain after an attack lasting a few hours. I am so pleased that I had a scan and found out what it was so I could get it sorted quickly. Thought it was food allergies or something for ages. My surgery was done in October and I was in hospital for 2 nights. Yes, it took me a while to get back to normal but I've not had an attack since, thank goodness. I was getting to the point where I was dreading the weekend because my attacks seemed to come on worse then.

I finished Golden Gate Bridge a few years ago (didn't realise it was quite that long!)? I've got a frame, but need a mount cut. Have a few more to frame up too. Mostly small ones. I hate the framing bit. Takes too long to wash, dry, iron and frame. Then decide where it'll hang...

I love your Golden Gate piece - it is far too nice to stash in a drawer and now that you have identified a place for it to hang you have to go for it :D
