Hi ladies.
FOS. Love the 2 newly framed pieces, they are beautiful!
Laura. Could you cut the lengths of thread down, say in half? I was so glad when I joined the cafe and learnt about the loop method when starting of a new length of thread, as the length isn't very long using this method it doesn't knot/tangle too much.
Maria. Wow, what a difference the back stitch made! It's lovely.
Maisie. I'm not much help as my frame stays on the stand as I don't have childrens sticky fingers to worry about. Could you use a brand new bin liner or one of the charity freebie bags that come through the door just to slide it in when you're finished each time? Or as others said, a pillow case.
BEG. Nice progress, look forward to seeing her grow.
NMM. Nice update.
As for me. No stitching done here this weekend and I probably won't do any today either.
Have only just sat down with my first cuppa of the day and a nice big fat slice of birthday cake, nom nom nom
Pixie went back to the vets today and the stitches came out, hurrah! She's allowed out again and loving it.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Glad your cat is better Shelly, they hate being stuck in don't they, although saying that mine is up on my bed at the moment catching the sun through the window lol.

Thought I'd better pop in and let you see what I have been up to this week.
This is how Sleeping Beauty looked when I put here away last August
and this is how things are looking now (Pages 2 and 3 of 8)
Got a bit of a shock because I had forgotten that Page 1 was still to do as I had the fabric rolled out of the way. Made a start on Page 4 last night. Progress will be a lot slower this week as last week I had a bit of a lazy week with one thing and another.
Will catch up with all the weekends post later today.
Take care everyone

Have finished all the normal stitching on my Somebunny piece this afternoon, just got to do the metallic glittery bits now and the backstitch, I love the backstitch though, not so keen on the metallics .....StayHome * StaySafe * BeKind0

Evening everyone,
Update pic of Buttercup Farm below, it's Anchor threads which do seem to knot a lot more than DMC (or maybe it's just me)
Have a good evening, hope you all manage some stitching time.

Ailsb what is the ichf show please?
I have been to a few of the ICHF shows in Glasgow over the years but stopped going as there was not much cross stitch - a lot of card making and other crafts.
Sweetcarer - wow love the picture of your flowers. That must have taken hours to do. Glad you managed to get the stains out and complete it.
Thank you all for your kindness. Each flower took about a week to do. It was all thanks to the girls in here, they encouraged me to wash it and get on with it.
Feeling quite tired - so quick check on FB then an early night.
Kind wishes to all
