    Evening everyone,

Update pic of Buttercup Farm below, it's Anchor threads which do seem to knot a lot more than DMC (or maybe it's just me)

Have a good evening, hope you all manage some stitching time.

    Great progress.

I've stitched with both Anchor and DMC as well as with various overdyed threads and it seems to be completely random as to when I have a problem with knotting. I stitched Let's Sew using DMC Variations and that kept knotting though I am also using DMC variegated for a stitchery piece and not had any problems with that

    Hi ladies.

JCS. Buttercup Farm is coming along nicely, I really like it.

EricsMum. Welcome back! Your question regarding left over threads, I do as a few others, leave them on the card that came with the kit after marking the card with the brand and individual thread numbers. If they aren't a brand they then get put into my generic thread storage bag but Anchor and DMC have their own storage bag each.
If I have a few cards with the same number on the threads then go into a small zip lock bag so I can see at a glance how much I have of that particular number without having to go through the cards each time I need a small amount of thread.
Zip lock bags are then labelled and kept in number order.

Gildius. The Wall is coming along great!

Soulie. Glad your chemo is going ok.

As for me. Got a little stitching done yesterday, not much but every stitch helps :D
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
  • Soulie - so pleased that you have another session behind you and you are well enough to pop and see us. Take care of yourself.

Not long in after trudging around looking at fridge freezers and wallpapers and it wont be too long before I'm back out at gym for a circuits session :( and really I just cant be bothered. Cant wait to get back home and into pjs and fluffy dressing gown tucking into my tea. :rotfl::rotfl:

maria - in answer to the question of what my friend likes - my lovely dh replied 'wine'. He might have a point. :D Will get my thinking cap on and get back to you all.

No stitching here today so far.

    Hello again all!

I thought it was about time I gave you an update on the Great Wall (over halfway now!) The image is at the bottom of this page:

Crisis though. For the first time I've run out of one of my colours of thread! Not sure what to do - there's only a tiny bit more that I need so it's not worth buying a whole load, but I don't really want to just fill it in with another colour either :s

Absolutely amazing and you seem to have stitched it really quickly.

    Sorry.....need to get a new one.....back soon

  • YAYAYAY all finished. Just got to quickly chart and stitch the saying for the bottom.
Not a bad attempt at the deadline of this week.

  • Looks great Chicky. I am sure your friend will love it. What quote are you stitching on it ?
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)
  • Ideally I wanted "A house is made of walls and beams,
but a home is built with hopes and dreams".
but i can't find a font generator that uses a small enough back stitch to make it fit :(
