Hello again all!
I thought it was about time I gave you an update on the Great Wall (over halfway now!) The image is at the bottom of this page:
http://www.50ayear.com/the-hobbies/
Crisis though. For the first time I've run out of one of my colours of thread! Not sure what to do - there's only a tiny bit more that I need so it's not worth buying a whole load, but I don't really want to just fill it in with another colour either
Cor!
Is the colour you've run out of a branded one? If you give me the DMC number I can send you enough to do that tiny bit
 to Soulie - glad it's going OK0 -
Soulie - so pleased that you have another session behind you and you are well enough to pop and see us. Take care of yourself.
Not long in after trudging around looking at fridge freezers and wallpapers and it wont be too long before I'm back out at gym for a circuits sessionand really I just cant be bothered. Cant wait to get back home and into pjs and fluffy dressing gown tucking into my tea. :rotfl::rotfl:
maria - in answer to the question of what my friend likes - my lovely dh replied 'wine'. He might have a point. Will get my thinking cap on and get back to you all.
No stitching here today so far.

Lol beg it sounds similar to me. I've had a hectic day. Made three loaves. Made four cushions and cooked sweet and sour pork which was disgusting. Now off to the gym but can't be bothered just want my pjs on and a big mug of hot chocolateI'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!JUST LOVES THE O/S BOARD0

Soulie - glad your treatment went as well as it could and you feel up to dropping in.
Havent been well yesterday and today with a really bad stomach, stayed in bed until 4pm and back there agajn now. Very little sewing done but have finished the back, sleeve and half the front of a jumper but now run out of wool. I bought the wool in Blackpool so not local, need to call the shop tomorrow and see if they can send me another 3 balls.
Will try and get some sewing done tomorrow. Night all.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Hi Everyone,
Haven't posted for a few days but I've been keeping up to date with everyone's work.
Soulie - I haven't spoken to you much on here but I really admire your strength and hope that the rest of your treatment goes well.
Gildius - That is amazing! You must be very dedicated. Well done.
I haven't made much progress with my bigger projects, I think the whole glasses thing put me off a bit. But I have just finished embellishing three tiny sets of scratch mitts for my friends baby, using soluble canvas. It was a bit awkward to do, but they are really cute. I've just washed them so I'll post a pic when they've dried.
OT - Yesterday I went for an ECG screening on my heart from the CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) people (very good organisation). I found out I have a very small hole in my heart, it won't really affect my life in any way but I would never have found out if it wasn't for this screening.
ECG screenings are not available on the NHS in Scotland and it was paid for by lots of people I know that raised money for the Laura Main Memorial Fund. Laura was a childhood friend that died at the age of twenty one due to an undiagnosed heart defect. Hundreds of young people die every year due to heart defects and if the NHS in Scotland would introduce these screenings then some of these people could be saved.
I'd appreciate if you could take the time to sign this petition to encourage the NHS to introduce ECG screenings.
