I keep my threads on bobbins with numbered stickers on then in plastic craft boxes too. I have 3 very full boxes now but still always need a new thread when I start something! I'm sure they keep adding to the list!StayHome * StaySafe * BeKind0

Thank you everyone
I looked at my pattern chart and decided the best place to start for me would be the bottom right. Every other corner had masses of colour changes almost every other stitch was different .. That's my fault for choosing a photo with a woodland background lol .
I've made a start and I must say I'm not overly keen on these wooden hoops its annoying me already .. I saw someone using a square plastic type thing the other day on one of the many videos , are these any better ?LBM - 1/March/2013

ive got a plastic frame that you can adjust the size of and you 'clip' your fabric in with plastic oval shaped things. i get on well with that or the wooden frames you roll the fabric over. its a case of experimenting with different things and seeing which you get on best with.
i know others on here use different frames and highly recommend them someone else will be along shortly with a different recommendation im sureSPC~12 ot 124

Hello all again lol sorry for pestering you. I think ive got about a week left on this bloody cross stitch ( ive completely ran out of thread so ive got to order some) where is the cheapest place to buyin bulk from. Im thinking I only need two shades to complete this one so I might as well buy for my next project and save on postage. ...very MSEI'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!JUST LOVES THE O/S BOARD0

Hi ladies.
Cornish. I love my easy clip rotating frame, wouldn't be without it! I have a couple of different sizes to use depending on the size of fabric my design is using. I also have the Posilock floor stand that you can attach the frames to and something called a helping hand that is like an extension of the stand that holds the frame.
Like mrsmp said, we will all recommend you something differentThe lady I bought my stand from and a couple of frames hated them!
Winniepooh. I would recommend across town stitching for cheap threads. Admittedly they seem to be a little slow recently but their customer service is excellent. http://www.across-town-stitching.talktalk.net/index.html
If you click on DMC or Anchor on the left individual skeins are 40p each but if you click on offers the prices get even better.
Off topic.
Pixie got on well, healing really nicely but the nurse wants to see her again on Monday. No stitches out yet!:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Chickywiggle Im here to stay
Spent the day winding my new thread on bobbins .. Just printed off my pattern and eeek I have 6 pages . 4 full and 2 with a little strip which I guess is what didnt fit on the width .. Anyhooo umm where do I start ? Is it simply just pick a page and do it or is there a method
Thanks everyone for the tv tips. :j Safe to say I won't be buying the radi0 time$ anymore although I might be cheeky and take out a subscription in my OH's name if the price was right !! I very much like the idea of a no cost guide however so a web based tv guide seems the best bet. :j Nice to see you Soulie. look forward to seeing a pic of tigger soon :j hope it went ok today. can't be nice but I think I speak for all in the cafe that despite the anonymity of this site, I do feel we all "know each other" and are able to share the good and bad times. sending love xxx

Winnie - sorry for the late reply re shops near New Street. I'm sorry but I don't know of any , although I think house of frazer has a department that sells some bits. What chart have you ordered?
Cornish - I use Siesta frames and have at least 4 sets of side bars plus about 8 sets of different cross pieces so that I can get different sized frames. I normally have 2/3 frames in use at any one time.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j
