I doubt it, as you've posted a few times and has actually said thank you. :) We've had some people post once asking for help/charts and don't even bother to post again to say thanks once we've given advice. They are never seen again in the cafe and it's a bit upsetting to the regulars.

Welcome to all the newbies, by the way. I'll be back in soon for a catch up and look at the pics, but right now the decorating is taking up all my internet time. Miss you all! :D

Thank God for that I don't like to offend anyone.

Ive ran out of thread so im back stitching what I can.
I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!

    Are you referring to me?

the fact you have to ask that proves it's not you as you have read something and replied to it. been on and posted a few times.

we get sooo many people who log in, make no reference to ANYTHING that has taken place in the cafe, do not make an effort to 'fit in' and then (like ruth honey has said are never seen nor heard from again. You can generally tell from the post if they will return.

we have been stung sooo many times by people who think they can turn up and ask for copies of charts (illegal) then get stroppy with us when we say no.

If you want help we are more then happy to make suggestions (even if it has been covered hundreds of times in the past) and love to welcome new comers (so long as they are that and not only after 1 thing).

  • Im being nosey now but im wondering if you always do something with your finished cross stitch.

Its just ive got something planned with this one im doing now. Its being used as part of a baby quilt for a very good friend going through ivf.

But ive been looking round for a new project (which ive now found thanks to you guys) and its going in a frame on the wall.

BUT.....a have brought kits before just because I like them. I've got three in the wardrobe that either wouldn't suit our decor

  • ive got a pair of leopards that i half crossstitched onto a tapestry panel about 10 years ago in wool - came across it again today rolled up in the wardrobe. and ive got a bigish piece that was free from a prim subscription years ago, its 3 shelves with various herb and spice jars on its finished and folded up in a cupboard. quite sad really that they arent on show.

Got a drawer full of stitched and not framed, and at last count 40+ kits to start. Should keep me busy for a while :rotfl:
