  • Just had a quick catch up with your posts from last couple of days.

Lovely pics from everyone. Hugs to all who need them inc Pixie.

You certainly deserve your reward chicky after undergoing one of those checks. They told me that I only have to go every 5 yrs now (getting on a bit) but they introduced me to mammograms every 3 yrs and to be quite honest I found these much worse. Just something us women have to endure. :)

No stitching done so far today - but DS has paid for a new xs mag sub for part of my birthday pressie. My current sub expired on issue 200 so issue 201 starts my new sub (for WOXS).

Hope you all have a good evening.

  • Here's the progress photo on The Wave. I've probably done about a month or so on it. I'm enjoying it, but too much blue!

Hi everyone, I am finally back home.
For those that don't know, 3 weeks ago yesterday I was rushed in to hospital with heavy bleeding.
They rushed me in to theatre the following morning for some simple surgery, but they had to put me in to a temp. coma and they slowly weaned me off the sedation during the day.
Anyways I was diagnosed with cervical cancer (I did have a feeling that was what it was), and I had my first course of chemo thursday just gone, feeling fine, a bit of pain, but nothing too bad, coped well with the chemo, no side effects from the first lot, but that's not to say I won't with the 2nd treatment on February 14th.

Anyways I am finally back home now, and will try to pop in when I can.

Hope all is well in the cafe! :)

Oh Soulie! What a dramatic way to start the year! How mean of them to put you in a temporary coma and lesson your stitching time. Selfish doctors...;) Seriously, though, I'm really glad you're back & feeling well enough to post. We've been worried about you here and I guess it's quite apt(in a twisted way!) that we mentioned smear tests earlier today. Very important to keep up to date with them. No matter how horrible they are, they do save lives.
Please keep popping in when you can and let us know how you're doing. We're here for support whenever you need it. Huge hugs. :)
