Just popping in to say welcome back Soulie. I'm so glad to see you back in the cafe, sending lots of virtual hugs
Also sending hugs to you Louise, I hope your nephew is feeling better soon.
I managed a few stitchies on my niece's door sign, am about halfway through :T I have to say it was great to pick up a needle.
Great work on here as always girls, although you do tempt me to add more designs to my to-do list :rotfl:

Is anyone going to the NEC Stitching show or been before? WHen I looked at teh exhibitors list, I couldn't see many actual stitching companies. Is this usually the case??

I've been to the NEC show three times in the last ten years. Over that time it has definately diversified. There are many more crafts than just stitching there. There's a lot of card-making supplies, a lot of ready made items to buy (like crafted clothes, jewellery etc) and even a few food stalls (organic, hand made or unusual food).
They even had those kitchen gadget demonstrators last time I went - you know, chop eight tons of veg in three minutes with our super dooper mandolin etc. etc.
If you just want stitching stuff (or even just cross stitch) it's not the show for you. I always forget how much it's changed and end up slightly disappointed - but it is good way to spend half a day if you like crafts in general. It can get extremely busy, which I don't like. I can only take a couple of hours of pushing through the crowds before I get claustrophobic! :rotfl:0 -

I'll be going. I have to say the spring show normally doesn't have many cross stitch stalls, it's mainly material and quilting at this one. Blacksheep are normally there the also choices. If you only do cross stitch it might not be the show for you. If you are into crafting in general then it's a good show. Have to say I don't normallh spend much on cross stitch at this show.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Afternoon,
Just popping in to send a gentle virtual (((hug))) to Soulie - hope the next round goes as well as it can and you are feeling better very soon xxx
Haven't managed any stitching, more through lack of energy than anything else. I hope to get some done this week on my DOB's, energy levels permitting.
Sending hugs to all those who need them x
Right, off to catch up on all your updates

I keep small card size designs handy for when I only have a short while, I can't be bothered dragging out all the stuff for my big pics to just get one or two thread lengths completed
Now there's a simple, but very good suggestion. Why didn't I think of that? I already keep a smaller project to one side for my stitch meets as there's not enough elbow space for bigger frames, why not have a little design in a zippy bag ready to grab when I've got a spare half hour? Thanks Louise! :TCross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

I have the perfect frame and mount, but need the letters and numbers to be about 25 by 25. Anyone got any idea of where I could find this online. I have looked and looked...lol;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0
