So glad to see you back Soulie. I am glad that you mentioned this, in a selfish way, as I have been putting my smear test off for ages. I am going to phone and get appointment made first thing. Enjoy the recovery time stitching...xx;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0

Soulie - glad to hear that you're back with us. As others have said what an awful start to the year, at least it's behind you now and we the treatment that's planned I'm sure you'll be on the mend soon. My thoughts and prayers are still be sent to you.
Sorry to go back to stitching but I just wanted to say thank you very much to the girls (Chicky, Ruth & Julie) that gave me the links to the Makingspot I really like the corset one. Whilst googling for patterns I came across an apron design with corss stitch on. So I've decided to make her an apron (50's style) as she is into baking. I am using a cupcake pattern and coffee cup pattern which were meant to be separate patterns but I'm putting them together with the words Enjoy your treats (she doesn't drink alcohol - her treat is coffee and cake). They are from WOXS issue 185 and are by Durene Jones.
Will post a picture once done.
Re my Dad - thanks for the idea of the caravan in a mug. Not sure about a mug as I don't think he will use it. I'm going to use the idea of a caravan, maybe something quite fancy (not 100% sure yet) but make it into a cushion that he can use in his conservatory.
Off to sort colours now for the cupcakes and mugs whilst watching about Richard III.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j
