Can't see any stitching getting done today as my mind is full of worry for Pixie :(
Last night both girls were fine but this morning Pixie wasn't her usual self. She had some blood on one of her back paws and on closer inspection she has a wound on her belly. There was quite alot of blood in her beautiful white belly fur......cue me going into panic mode!
I calmed down and tried to wash the area thinking that it might be a small scratch and that she had spread the blood around by licking it. She wouldn't let me wash it or look for long enough to see the actual wound.
Got her in the Vets where the Vet said she had a flap of skin hanging and she could see the fat layer was exposed.
I've had to leave her there so they can sedate her later and take a good look at it :(
Hopefully that's the only damage and she can be cleaned up, stitched up, given a long term antibiotic and pain killer injection and back home later.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

shelly - hope Pixie is ok.

    Never done Tapestry - soorrryyy.

I've been a good girl this morning, taken DS1 to school, went to the shops, gave DS2 an hour and a half at the play centre then went for my smear.
.......................can i reward myself with an hours stitching while DS2 naps instead of cleaning the house or doing other boring jobs?

No stitching here today :( Got my baby niece to look after (she is having a nap atm) - my sister phoned in floods of tears this morning, my 2yo nephew had a fit and collapsed, and I'm just waiting for news from the hospital :( I'm sure he will be fine, poor lad.

Winniepooh - FOS has answered your question with regards to tapestry so fully I don't think I can add anything to it. I have done tapestry in the past and agree that a good frame whilst stitching is a must. I have to say I found tapestry a bit boring after doing cross stitch as it was printed on the canvas and I didn't see it grow so much.

FOS - thanks for your comment re charts etc. I am going to try to sell some but also add a list here (or on the facebook page if people think that's better) of charts I've finished with and don't want anything for. I've pm'd you as well.

Gildius - well done on finishing half of the Great Wall, I look forward to seeing the update photos.

Chicky - you definitely deserve a stitchy treat after your morning.

Shelly - hope Pixie is okay, it's always such a worry when a pet is ill or injured.

Caroline - lovely Sandy Hook squares and so quick.

TMIF - glad you had a good holiday.

At work so can't post a photo but I've now got a head and body of the owl that I'm stitching for the Sandy Hook project. I think I will struggle to give it away as I really like it and might end up stitching it again to keep.
