Thanks for your birthday wishes everyone. I've had a lovely weekend doing very little in fact yesterday I didn't even manage to stitch a stitch (how did that happen ). Making the most of the rest of the weekend as it will be back to reality at 6 am in the morning when the alarm goes off.
Will try to catch up with all your latest posts over the next couple of days.
Stitched a little bit of piggy in tutu this afternoon so its coming along quite well now.
Take care everyone

Hello all - I'm back
Hope you've all had a good week... I am very sunburnt. Silly me... Had a lovely time, can't say I did much mind...!0 -
Afternoon all. While my sunday roast has been cooking, I have finally managed to find the aida band I knew I had but couldn't locate. Does anyone have any tips on stitching on this - handheld, secure in a hoop etc. Hoping to make a couple of bookmarks for the next fair even though I didn't sell anything this time. Nice to have some adult conversation for once (even if we did talk about children most of the morning!!!)

I've held bookmark aida in my hand but I think my friend stuck it in a hoop.tellmeitsfriday wrote: »Hello all - I'm back

Anyone remember the Party Paws Christmas Panda design that was a free bonus chart with WOXS last year? I've started this! Not that I'm trying to get organised for xmas or anything :rotfl:

Yes I'll be going. I normally go on the Thursday or Friday and try to do a few workshops. Would like to look at a new sewing machine which can take a quilting foot.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

I went to Gran Canaria. Was very nice - I read 4 of the books I took - but I went for the less intellectual ones from the list. Omitted The Slap and Room because I couldn't be doing with crying.
I did quite a good chunk of my four seasons window - I will do a piccy tomorrow, but for now I must go to bed because my eyes are no longer working xxx0 -

Finally got the flat emptied today, brushed all the floors and threw bleach down the sinks and toilet. Hubby was laughing at me for cleaning a place we won't be back in but I'd hate to leave it dirty and then the new tenants would be talking about me...lol
Only have the shed to empty, which will be fine as it is things like the Christmas tree and suitcases which will not need sorted out, just moved from one shed to another.
However, I now have boxes everywhere in the house, but we are going to just take it one box at a time and not worry about it (well that's the plan anyway...lol)
Hubby got the back garden all brushed out, and our new shed all cleaned (it was disgusting, bags and bags of rubbish including food wastage, which as the door hadn't been closed dogs and cats had ripped open and scattered everywhere. But it is now nice and clean. We are going to gather together all the paint we used in the house (pale blue and cream), mix it altogether and paint the inside of the shed to brighten it up. This is the concrete shed, which we will keep our bin and tools in. We have another wooden one which we are going to use as an outdoor play house for Jaxon and put some of his bigger toys in.
Starting to see it all coming together now, although must admit I very nearly shed a tear earlier in the flat. We all walked from room to room saying bye, even Jaxon was waving..lol, and it was sad. We spent over ten happy years there, and it was our first home....xx;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
