    Hi all

My laptop has died (well DS2 spilt water on it) so on DH laptop til mine fixed. This does mean I am having more time for stitching though instead of being on the lappy all evening. Have almost finished D's valentine present and nearly finished one of my easter cards just the backsticth on both to do which I will do this evening. Not sure if I will be able to set up flickr on here or not so will need to see re posting pictures.

I am absolutely loving seeing everyone else pics. They are so beautiful.

Just popped on quickly before starting to tidy my craft room which became a dumping ground over Christmas so may take a week to clear.

Louise - yojr HAED is looking really good, I do admire the fact that you can stick at such large projects.

Subtle - thanks For he heads ul about crossstitchers.co.uk. have ordered the Westie cushion kit that I wanted for my mil, its the cheapest I've seen anywhere at such£15.98 inc p&p.

Mistyblue - you're lucky to have afriend that can make frames, I'm sure it will make the stitching quicker on your horse.

FOS - love the Lets Sew, its still on my to do list will have to get the chart once I finish spending on gifts for others. Might ask for it for mothers day.

    BEG - happy belated birthday.

Chicky - your dictionary of homes is coming along great. I'm sure you'll have it finished in time, I always find I speed up when a deadline is looming.

L&M - wow, how quickly did you manage the bear! I think I've reached the conclusionnthat I am a very slow stitcher.

For those that asked the chart for the eye was an Alessandra Adelaide Needlework (AAN) design which I got from America through a seller on ebay. It was really dear (well I think it was) £14ish inc p&p, but I fell in love with the design. I'm thinking of selling it on ebay to recoup some of the costs but I'm a bit hesitant as I've not sold a chart on its own before. Will have a think, can't see me stitching it again though.

Also, once I've done the bedroom/craftroom I am thinking of getting rid kf some of my old magazines that I will never get round to stitching anything from. I might try to ebay them or I could put a list on here but would need to cover postage costs. Will have a think.

Must go now cleaning is shouting at me.

This is really nice and I like a lot. This kit is in my little folder that I carry round with me but I have yet to start it..... (I always have the best of intentions that I am going to spend my lunchtimes productively stitching.... it never happens... well sometimes it does but I never manage as much as I would like) :(

Afternoon all. While my sunday roast has been cooking, I have finally managed to find the aida band I knew I had but couldn't locate. Does anyone have any tips on stitching on this - handheld, secure in a hoop etc. Hoping to make a couple of bookmarks for the next fair even though I didn't sell anything this time. Nice to have some adult conversation for once (even if we did talk about children most of the morning!!!)
