    Hi everyone!
I am so sorry I've not posted in a while. I have spent days trying to catch up a page or two at a time, but I was about 15-20 pages behind. How I let it get so bad, I don't know. Anyway, now I'm all up to date and will try and keep on top of the posts.

Love all the updates and photos. Too many to mention, but they are looking great. Keep them coming! I've stitched Dictionary of Bras & really enjoyed it. It's now hanging above my bed & I've got 'Boots' and 'Cakes' to do in my stash too.

OT-books. I have 'Room' to read on my kindle. Will bump it up the list as a few people have said its good. Also enjoy Marian Keyes, Sophie Kinsella and Cecelia Ahearn. Have subscribed to the Kindle users forum free email newsletter & have got loads of free books since new year! Might have to start using the text to speech function on the kindle to get through books while stitching.

Tricksie-that's very kind of you to offer the tickets to us. :)
Subtle_minx-If you're still looking for someone to go to the Excel show with, I'd love to join you. I'm not too far from there and haven't been to a show in a while.

BABS! So funny! Prefect name for it. :T

Julie0511-what a stunning design! I actually went to the Hollywood Costume exhibition at the V&A on Tuesday and I saw Marilyn's dress and Charlie Chaplin's suit there. It was very good, but I think it's ending any day now-although it might be touring if you did want to visit. Also on display was Dorothy's wizard of oz gingham dress, Indiana Jones outfit, a Bond suit, Batman, Spiderman and Superman costumes, and loads more. Wish we could've taken pics, but as there's a book available (and it was busy!), I can see why they don't let you.

Laura-personally I like the snowman kit most, but they're all nice.

Soulie-No idea what's happened but sending lots of love & hugs and we're here if you need us.

Hope everyone else is well and that you've had a nice weekend. I've managed a tiny bit of stitching this year, but been very busy sorting out redecorating stuff. Got to have a big clear out, then box up and find storage places for our living room 'stuff' so mum & I can wallpaper the damaged walls & then paint the whole room.
Went to chose new carpet today. That's almost fully covered by insurance, which is nice. The walls we're doing ourselves because the insurance people were insisting the room is totally cleared and we just can't do that! So they agreed to pay us some money and we'll sort out buying everything and working around the furniture. Carpet Right didn't seem to think it was a problem if we cleared most things. Can't see how we can move the sofa anywhere else. Unless its dry and we can stick it in the garden. It's so stressful doing this stuff.
Need to try and get Blossom to wear a cat collar so we can slowly get her used to outside. She's chipped, but would rather her wear a collar too. She's such a scaredy cat that we need to take things slowly with her, but I'd rather her be able to go outside while the work in the house is going on. She gets nervous of strange voices and new smells.

Right, I'd better get to bed, I guess. Where's the evening gone???

Sounds good. Don't let me spend too much, though! ;)
I'm flexible with days/times etc as no plans in early April at the moment. Looking forward to meeting a real life cafe member at last. :T

Here's the (very creased!) finished Peak District map, just in the middle of hand washing as need to sort a few pictures out for the framers:

Already started the next one, Buttercup Farm from Derwentwater Designs:

Snow all gone with the rain, but still looks icy in places so be careful if you go out.

OH out for the afternoon, so stitching time for me :D

Your Peak District map is stunning and seems to have stitched up quickly. Will look wonderful framed.

I also love your next piece - it really reminds me of spring/summer

It will be great to have another 13 in 13 member - it's fascinating to see the variety of projects people are planning (and in some cases have completed)

P.S - Sorry for the big pic!

    What a great question :D

All of the kits are lovely designs. My vote would be for the spring flowers because I've fallen out of love with snowmen due to seeing too many real ones recently and I think that stitching on black is better done in the natural light so should be your spring project as this is probably my favourite design overall.

    Hello Girls

I am sorry I have been a bit of a lurker of recent times been busy with work and stitching away - trying to get my letter Os and snowdrops done by end of month.

Thought it was only me that called Sainsburys - Sainsbugs lol.

It was me who put up picture of bag - might have a look at getting the magazine, when is it out in the shops. Blackwork is now a new favourite thing of mine.

Another reason why I might get the magazine as I really like Helen Phillips designs - plan to do her seasons which she recently serialised in Cross Stitch Collection (which I call CSC not Cross Stitch Crazy - its just crazy to me!).

OO - I have now completed my two letter Os for the AOY facebook quilt for charity.

    108_0576_zpse0e2f6bd.jpg

I have now found what pattern I am going to do for the teachers of Sandy Hook. I will be doing 6 - one for each colour of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple) - this will be for each of the adults. Each one will have 3 colours - so will look through my stash.

Got it from here and they said it is ok to use as long as I tell people this is where I got it. http://dmc-threads.com/friday-freebies-school/comment-page-1/#comment-10469

    Color-Variation-Image-092_zpsb47b684a.jpg

But before that I need to start on my snowdrops.

Story behind snowdrops for those who might not of heard it. My grandparents would of been married 70 years in February if they were both still alive so I am doing the snowdrops for each of their daughters (my mum and her sisters) as a wee memorial. When my grandparents got married during the war they couldn't get a buttonhole for my grandfathers suit - so he went out to the garden and picked some snowdrops to use.

WOW  thats a long post. Well keep well everyone till next time.

    sweetcarer ;)

Thanks for the link to the heart design which I love.

I have a spare copy of this month's WOCS ( long story to do with mix up on subscription). I would be more than happy to send it to you. Just pm me if you would like me to post it. It certainly has a lot of designs which seem to be your sort of thing.

Your AOY O pieces are really cute.

    morning all

finished my sandy hook square last night just got to press it and photo it, is anyone doing more than one and have we agreed on a person we are sending them to with postage contribution or is there an address.
i asked about the more than one purely because it would make sense to add our individual squares to a pile rather than have someone whos do a few having theirs pay to go through the post twice if you see what i mean.
not sure what to stitch next im half way through nieces picture but waiting to see what size mount i get so i can guage the border.

stay warm all, i cant heating decided to pack up yesterday so waiting for someone to come out and hoping its not expensive
    at least the snows gone
