Subtle, try uninstalling the touchpad drivers from device manager, then restart and it should reinstall them.

  • Hey, Thanks for the help, I've tried all suggestions and it's not working. It seems to work for a little while and then misbehave again. Wondering if something to do with laptop getting oldish, I think at least 3 years. Is that old for one? Joel keeps threatening to format the c:drive but the headache involved with listing and reinstalling lots of software.. eugh.

In stitchy news, I have started the Do not disturb stitching hanging from WOCX to put on my craft room door when we move :)

  • This is from this month's WOXS magazine, my DD wants it to put in her 'love' frame in her room, she didn't want want the flowers outlining so I have left them. I have gone slightly wrong with the flowers on the right hand side, they are lower than they should be but didn't want to sit and unpick! :D

  • crafty - love square and kiss. :T

maria - love your let's sew too :T

louise - great pics especially scrabble. Mum will love it.

AM - love li-bra :D:T I'm sure your little one will really enjoy pre-school.

Misty Blue - welcome back and well done on your progress with HAED. Don't leave it so long next time before you pop back in.

greetingsearthling - welcome to the Cafe. Looking forward to seeing your update pics whenever time permits. I think you will have to have a few more posts before it will allow you to post piccies. Just keep popping in now and again.

nmm- I use double sided tape from Poundland for sticking cards together and haven't really had a problem so far (fingers crossed not wanting to tempt fate :D)

Julie - your movies pic looks brilliant and will look wonderful in your new flat.

subtle - mentioned your laptop problem to DS and he said it could be something as simple as the skin on your fingertips being a little bit dry and the conductivity isn't as good for operating the touchpad. Might be worth looking into as it's not too drastic. Good luck.

mos - love your little stitch. I'll definitely be doing it soon.

Finished neice's card and have decided to frame it instead as I had forgotten I have bought (shock horror) a card. Thought about keeping it for next year, but she will be 18 then and I will need a special card and I will probably lose it in the meantime.

Started 9th Day of Xmas - so when this square is done I will be having a break from it and re-starting Sleeping Beauty.

Rain has started here but I think it will take some time before all the snow/ice is washed away.

    Stay safe everyone,

Hello everyone :) I have recently rediscovered my love of stitching so found this thread and have been admiring your work but realised I should join in and not lurk :o

I am currently stitching a Somebunny piece as a birth sampler and have probably too many WIPs/UFOs around as I haven't stitched properly for a year or so  I need to have a good sort through really.

My aims for this year are to finish some projects, stitch my Xmas cards and find, fall in love with, and start a HAED.

Today will mostly be spend doing washing (yawn) and batch cooking.... but I do intend to do some cross stitch (famous last words.....)

I wonder (off topic) if any of you have made your own jewelry in the past? I quite fancy having a go - well making this kind of thing first but have no idea where to begin - visited a bead shop yesterday and was a bit overwhelmed with all the bits on display and know I will need a few tools but not sure exactly what and wondered if anyone could offer me any pointers. (perhaps suggest an online retailer to buy supplies).

Thought there might be a designated thread on here but haven't found anything.
