  • Morning Ladies :)
Not a great deal of stitching going on here, but I have finished another section of "Dictionary of Bras"
    DSCF3936.jpg

You can't see from the picture, but this is directly above the Brazier square.

craftycrafty - your completed square is beautiful.
Maria - Love your finished piece! It has been a quick sew.
Louise- Wow! So many pieces, I especially love the scrabble one, I am sure your mum will love it.

Hoping to get a bit of stitching done this evening, we are forcast a lot of snow starting at lunchtime, so may well be snowed in.

Hope you all have a lovely stitchy day!

    Afternoon all,

Finished Peak District Map on Wednesday night, will post pics when I can get near the PC at home.

I suspect the Sainsbury's top is machine stitched, the back of it is nearly identical to the front, so unless they have mastered double sided cross stitch (tried it once after seeing instructions in a book, never again!) then it is machine done.

Louise - love the Lizzie Kate designs, I've done the Abc/123/Remember me one in a few different colour ways for the Sandy Hook quilt.

Suspect I might get an early finish today with the snow that's due. Take care when driving and keep warm

Free Gift 1, Margaret Sherry Birthday Bunny card kit - Adorable! It does have that awkward style of backstitch (we need to come up with a name for that lol) but there isn't too much of it. This is going on my To Do list.

Free Gift 2, Sampler chart book - Quite a god gift actually, samplers aren't y thing, but these are pretty and some motifs could be used on their own.

Fizzy Moon (2 bears with flowers and a glass of fizz) - Again, not really my thing, but a nice design. Would make a good engagement stitch.

Floral Fancy (teapot and rose) - Really not for me.

pg 24 (adverts)Michael Powell has released a new range called 'Postcards',7x5 designs. there is a picture of Tuscany there. That one isn't one I would do but I will google the rest of the range

Emergency ABC - Good that they have included numbers with this as well, I'm always looking for ideas for boys cards

Heart and Home, no place like home hanging - Colourful, but not to my taste.

Craft Xtra - Possibly the ugliest flowers I have ever seen in my life....

Pastimes & Hobbies - LOVE the 'Do not disturb, stitcher at work' (great size for a coaster) Loads of good small designs, I have earmarked a few for cards.

Gadget Pocket - Great idea, pity I can't sew :o

Reader Story - Who posted the picture a while back of the canvas bag with all the DMC colour range stitched on it? Cos that's who the story is about :D:T

JE Kokeshi Dolls - I don't normally like these, but it's a very bright design and the sentiment is lovely.

Girly Cards - Exactly as described - girly :D

Cat Bookmarks - My apologies to the designer but I really don't like these

Cupcake of the bliddy month - Thought these had finished??:rotfl:

Blackwork Beauty - Flower in blue blackwork.

Day off work today so a quick catch up on here and then stitching time. Nearly finished page 1 of my world map, it is stitching up quite quickly. Lots of fractional stitches but working on evenweave so not a problem. Will complete backstitch on each page as I finish as can't face doing it all at the end.

I went to the creative stitches and hobbycraft show at Bluewater both times last year (only 20 minutes from home) but it has now been moved to Excel in London. It is on 4 - 6 April but I can't go as we're in Gran Canaria for two weeks before so can't take Thusday or Friday off work and seeing Dirty Dancing in Canterbury on the Saturday. The reason I'm mentioning it is that ICHF have sent me a complimentary ticket for two people. Just wondered if anybody wanted it? If so, please pm your address and I'll pop it in the post. Seems a shame to waste it!

    Hello Misty Blue :D

I'm working on a monochrome HAED as well - "Relativity". I'm about 2/3rds done on page 3 (of 36!) so will post an update when that's finished.
