sounds yummy. im *making myself cook* so have a casserole of sorts all but ready to be cooked. I had lots of stuff that needed using up. I guess the yorkie pudd is a big yorkshire pudding?0 -
yum FE.
Yup a big yorkshire pudding (using smart price mix)loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Beg and everyone else - OT Have formatted laptop now as also been getting a shut down error which research leads me to believe is something to do with BSOD - blue screen of death. So backed up everything but totally forgot to save all my bookmarks..grrr. It has made no diff to the touchpad though. Read it could be something to do with microswitch under pad so will do further research,
Welcome MT2B to the cafe.
Moments make sure to send a piccie to WOXS as that was seriously quick! may get a nice treat..
Plan on stitching more on do not disturb sign while watching black and white classics. Think i'll try stuffed peppers in the slow cooker today0 -
Here's the (very creased!) finished Peak District map, just in the middle of hand washing as need to sort a few pictures out for the framers:
Already started the next one, Buttercup Farm from Derwentwater Designs:
Snow all gone with the rain, but still looks icy in places so be careful if you go out.
OH out for the afternoon, so stitching time for me0 -

:D
Sweetcarer - hope all is well with you. You seem to have been missing for a little while.
I am sorry I have been a bit of a lurker of recent times been busy with work and stitching away - trying to get my letter Os and snowdrops done by end of month.
Thought it was only me that called Sainsburys - Sainsbugs lol.World of Cross Stitching Issue 200
Reader Story - Who posted the picture a while back of the canvas bag with all the DMC colour range stitched on it? Cos that's who the story is about:T
Blackwork Beauty - Flower in blue blackwork.
It was me who put up picture of bag - might have a look at getting the magazine, when is it out in the shops. Blackwork is now a new favourite thing of mine. The Helen Phillipps Sampler Chart Book is nice and the ABC 123 sampler featured on the front cover is probably by favourite. I've added the rest of my comments above.
Another reason why I might get the magazine as I really like Helen Phillips designs - plan to do her seasons which she recently serialised in Cross Stitch Collection (which I call CSC not Cross Stitch Crazy - its just crazy to me!).
OO - I have now completed my two letter Os for the AOY facebook quilt for charity.
I have now found what pattern I am going to do for the teachers of Sandy Hook. I will be doing 6 - one for each colour of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple) - this will be for each of the adults. Each one will have 3 colours - so will look through my stash.
Got it from here and they said it is ok to use as long as I tell people this is where I got it. http://dmc-threads.com/friday-freebies-school/comment-page-1/#comment-10469
But before that I need to start on my snowdrops.
Story behind snowdrops for those who might not of heard it. My grandparents would of been married 70 years in February if they were both still alive so I am doing the snowdrops for each of their daughters (my mum and her sisters) as a wee memorial. When my grandparents got married during the war they couldn't get a buttonhole for my grandfathers suit - so he went out to the garden and picked some snowdrops to use.
WOW  thats a long post. Well keep well everyone till next time.

Evening Ladies,
Sweetcarer - I have been lurking again too. So much for resolutions:whistle: Nice to see you postin tho'.
Your letter O's look great.
The letter heart is very nice.
The story about your Grandparents is very touching. Do your mum and her sisters know about the memorial snowdrops or is it a surprise?
Laura - I like the red roses one.
JCS - Well done on the Peak District:T. It looks great.
Hello Mum2boys:wave:
BEG - Well done on over 1000 posts.
Julie - The Hollywood Montage is a fabulous piece.
Misty Blue - Your HAED horse is amazing. Are you keeping it for yourself or is it a gift?
Sorry I haven't posted any updates lately. I have been working away on my mothers birthday cross stitch but I am unable to post pic because my card reader is jammed in the laptop and I can't get it out.....I don't have a smart phone so its the only way I can post pics.:mad:0 -
well as I suspected, I haven't done any cross stitching yet today which is a shame.
I don't really feel up for stitching this evening but I think I might sort the threads for the Margaret Sherry card kit that came with WOXS. It is very cute. I just hope the backstitch doesn't cause me too many grumbles.
I still can't make up my mind about the cat bookmarks that were featured. They have been added to my mental to do list - just not sure when I will end up stitching them (especially as I don't have the threads for the designs at the moment) and I would have preferred to have stitched them on plastic canvas. (didn't realise they would feature fractional stitches)0
