Hi Everyone,
Thanks for all the encouragement regarding the Hollywood Montage and I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that like a good ramble!
Laura - I love all the projects you have to choose from, I'm a bit jealous actually! But I vote for the Winnie The Pooh, it just looks like it would be a nice fun stitch

I was following a link from Pinterest and came upon this site which has lots of free cross stitch patterns in a style I really like - haven't had time to look at them all but really taken with this series of seasonal snow globes0

You are fab, I've been looking for some like this for a while. Love them. Cheers for the link. I anticipate my lifelong to do list will be longer after this :rotfl:0 -
Hello Girls
Surprise - I am back again, two days in a row. I am going to the hospital later for some treatment so have a days leave so having a lazy morning and catching up on emails and stuff.firefly369 wrote: »Sweetcarer
The story about your Grandparents is very touching. Do your mum and her sisters know about the memorial snowdrops or is it a surprise?
No they don't know - I didn't know if I will get them done in time - but I am now more confident I will. Just wondering do I make them into calendars or just as cards? Spend alot of faffing around looking for a suitable snow drop and found one in CSC (cross stitch collection) Jan 2013 - issue 218 - just using the snow drop in the stitch a year of flowers sampler.flowerofscotland wrote: »Thanks for the link to the heart design which I love.
I have a spare copy of this month's WOCS ( long story to do with mix up on subscription). I would be more than happy to send it to you. Just pm me if you would like me to post it. It certainly has a lot of designs which seem to be your sort of thing.
Your AOY O pieces are really cute.
Are you sure you want to send it to me - that would be kind - let me know what you want for it.mrs-moneypenny wrote: »morning all
finished my sandy hook square last night just got to press it and photo it, is anyone doing more than one and have we agreed on a person we are sending them to with postage contribution or is there an address.
i asked about the more than one purely because it would make sense to add our individual squares to a pile rather than have someone whos do a few having theirs pay to go through the post twice if you see what i mean.
not sure what to stitch next im half way through nieces picture but waiting to see what size mount i get so i can guage the border.
stay warm all, i cant heating decided to pack up yesterday so waiting for someone to come out and hoping its not expensive
at least the snows gone
I would club together in sending the squares altogether but I am sending about 9 (6 adults, 1 child, 1 school and 1 hospital) - so I will just send my own in. Once I finish the snowdrops I am going to try and do one of my heart stitches to see how it looks - gave hubby a wee challenge to see if he could find all the letters in it and I think we found them all!
The wind is getting up now - would be nice if I could stay in and stitch but will have some lunch and off to hospital I go.
Keep well everyone

PS I see Soulie is now stitching while in hospital so is on the mend hopefully.:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j0 -

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
Someone please drag me away from the Bothy Threads website!!! Am very tempted by the offer that was mentioned a few days ago, but I really don't NEED any more kits. There's several on my wish list, but when on earth will I find the time to stitch them??? And my stash box is already bursting at the seams...Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

I picked up and started a new design over the weekend. (Can't say which one as it's going to be a present and I know the person it's for reads my posts on here!).
I *know* I should keep going on the HAED, and I will - but I need something colourful to do to distract me from the monochrome monstrosity as it has become known.
Anyway - what I was going to say was - this new design is a kit and I really noticed the quality of the needle as opposed to the job lot I bought off eBay recently. The kit needle is high quality, really smooth and solid-feeling and makes stitching a real pleasure. The job lot needles are OK - they do the job but they just don't *feel* so nice. They make the stitching process feel *scratchy*. Does anyone know what I mean by that?
It's making me think I need to spend some money on better needles - if I could get that sort of feeling on the HAED I would be much more encouraged to stitch it!0 -

Platinum needles are lovely! I had a couple, but no idea which design I left them with. Some UFO somewhere in a box...:o
I like stitching with gold petite needles too. Cheaper, but still good quality. The basic bulk buy stuff that most places use go rusty easily and feel funny in my fingers.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
