Happy birthday Caroline, glad the move hasn't been too traumatic. I'm sure I've seen Cars stuff, not sure if charts or kits will have a think and let you know.

Sweetcarer - I hope you didnt wait round at the hospital too long and that it went well. Thanks for the update on Soulie, glad she's making progress, please send my love and well wishes to her.

I've finished all of the black on the eye I'm stitchjng and nearly all the grey. Hopefully will have it completed at the weekend, although have my great nephew all day Thursday and Friday so no stitching then for me.

OT I have my hospital appointment this afternoon too so feel quite nervous, also forgot and ate garlic last night so that hasn't helped as I must stink as well. They are supposed to be putting a camera down into my stomach so I don't envy them.

Back on topic - Fos - thanks, I think for the link to the site with the snowglobes. Have browsed and there's some nice Fr Christmas patterns as well.

Mags- I agree that the feel of a needle makes a big difference. I tend to stitch with the same gold needle until it breaks or I lose it.

Louise546 - you've probably started your next project now, but for what its worth mh vote weng for the snowman. Like the others though.

Misty - your HAED horse is lovely, you've dond really well to keep going with it. I still havent started mine, unless you count having the threads sorted and the material on the frame.

JCS- the map of the Peak District is lovely, sorry I can't remember if you said who its for.

    Mumto2boys - welcome.

Must get off to work now, was hoping to get in early as having to leave early but that's failed, never mind.

should be getting the boiler fixed tonight, guy came yesterday and diognosed the problem but needed the part im thankkful he didnt condem it as i was really worried iwth it being an old boiler the parts wouldnt be available any more but luckily he said that the old boliers are far more reliable and well worth mending. so it lives!!! and i hope to be getting enough water for a bath tonight managing with a sink and a kettle full is really no fun.

  • Hello All,

I hope that you are all keeping dry with the weather turning so rainy.

I've managed to do a bit of stitching over the weekend. Currently working on a tatty teddy design, and finding crossing off the chart really helps big time!! A huge thank you for that suggestion.

My ATS threads came now, so I got the ones I was going to buy at the weekenf just before I left! A lucky day for me. I've got some doubles of ones I desperately needed but sure I'll be using them for something else. Thats good to hear yours cam too JCS1

caroline78 - I love cars too. Sew and so have lots (I was looking at the 'Disney charts' this weekend:

Stitcher also sells a couple (I've never used this company but heard they are okay)

    http://www.stitcher.co.uk/view-product.asp?ssn=32901&product=burning-up-the-track

I hope that helps a bit....I'm looking forward to seeing the clock! I didn't know you could purchase kits to do that, its a lovely idea.

    Have a good day everyone.:)

Looking forward to seeing your update on Tatty Teddy.

Love the Cars Height Chart kit but they are bit pricey

Good to hear about your threads and doubles are always useful

There are lots of lovely designs on that site - I downloaded some more last night but sadly they didn't seem to be providing extra time :D

Really looking forward to seeing progress photo for the eye as it is such an unusual design

    Thanks for the welcome ladies.

I think i have enough in my stash to keep me going for the next 10 years. Im doing 5 small transport ones at the mo, to go up for my little boy. its just to get me back into it and luckily they are 7x7cm so easy and quick to do.

i have about 4 in different stages of unfinished and im not liking backstitch. i have make a wish (its a child blowing a dandelion by dimensions) and the backstitch on the dandelion section just looks terrible. im not sure how best to explain it but do you stitch each square individually if you're going diagonally or skip the ones in the middle to have continuous line?

oooooo i need to do more posts so i can put pics up. :(
  • Evening all :)

Happy belated birthday Caroline :j Hope you had a lovely day!

I haven't done any more on Dictionary of Bra's, as I found out my friend is moving house, so when I came across a home sweet home kit in my stash I decided to sew that up ready for move day.

    DSCF3980.jpg
Here's the finished card, it came with one of the magazines (can't remember which) from a couple of years ago I think.
Hopefully my friend will like it.

Hope everyone is doing ok with their health and hospital appointments. Hugs to all who need them, and best wishes to Soulie xx

OT - my son loved his first day at preschool, so hopefully he will do ok tomorrow when he goes for a full day.

Hoping to get some stitching done tonight, if I don't fall asleep soon...

Appologies for the photo being sideways and huge, I did alter it on photobucket and copied the edited pic, so no idea how it has come to be like this on here?
    sorry x

Just looked again - and the photo is as it should be?! Damn you photobucket for making me look a fool!
