you could change life is to dreams are

open your heart and mind like the wings of a butterfly

untill you spread your wings you'll never know how far you can fly

The butterfly counts not months but moments, and has time enough. ~Rabindranath Tagore

May the wings of the butterfly kiss the sun
And find your shoulder to light on,
To bring you luck, happiness and riches
    Today, tomorrow and beyond.
    ~Irish Blessing

"Just living is not enough," said the butterfly, "one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower." ~Hans Christian Andersen

whisper a wish to a butterfly and it will take it up to heaven and make it come true

“A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory and beauty
Belong to the world but then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed…
We feel lucky to have seen it.”

Further to Chicky's post about copyright the other day, I spotted on FB today a message from Joan Elliott. She said that this month's Cross Stitch Crazy (out in the shops this week I guess) and already with subscribers contains a free booklet/guide to cross stitch. This guide contains a chapter on selling your cross stitch. There are mentioned certain designs/characters that must not be stitched for commercial gain. Joan Elliott is not included on this list but has stipulated that her name should be. Thought i would share this as it is important. Thanks for reading.
  • love all the pictures of your projects everyone they all look fantastic. they all take such a lot of time and effort but are worth it.

thanks for all the tips on here i find them all useful not being very experienced they help to avoid the pitfalls. especially the ones about working when sleepy usually i end up unpicking the next night.

this thread moves so quickly ive just had to read 4 pages to catch up .
im glad its stopped snowing and started to thaw a little but i expect it will be dodgy in morning if it freezes.hope everyone manages to get safely where you have to go. i fell over yesterday fortunately never broke any bones but feel a little bruised down left side.

My little card project that I'm stitching is coming along. Helped this morning by getting caught in traffic and being delayed.

I was a bit miffed this morning that I had mislaid the material for another project that I'm stitching but phew I've found it now so no having to restart or order more material (its patterned aida).

REALLY need to meal plan for my SW efforts but not keen on spending the whole evening on the computer. Would much rather do some stitching!!
  • Laura - thanks for comments re 12 days. Looking forward to seeing your progress. I am going to do one more square (probably 9 days of xmas) and then put it to one side for a while so that I can bring Sleeping Beauty back out as she has been asleep since last Aug. Will do so much then change back again.

JCS1 - looking forward to seeing your map. You seem has though you have done it really quickly.

AM - your 'brazier' brought a smile to my face this morning - thanks :). Looking forward to your next update.

Ailsb - 12 days of xmas will be going away for a little while so that I can do a bit on Sleeping Beauty - DH keeps saying the refurbished bedroom still looks unfinished (wont hang anything on walls till I see what it looks like with SB as it is quite a large pic. So it might seem as though I have got a lot of time till 11.12.13 but ........ and I havent a clue when it comes to making it into a hanging. :o I have the instructions but it looks like gobbledegook atm.

shelly - love your cats. :T

mrs.mp - love your trotters. The butterfly is beautiful.

Stitched more of neices card/pic today and its coming along quite nicely (I think)

    Take care everyone,

    b_e_g

Just looked out of the back door and its still snowing like billyoh :(:p

funny. felt quite flat when I got home from work and could quite happily have gone straight to bed.

a good hour or so of stitching after dinner and I feel much brighter. I've even resisted the temptation of chocolate (helped I think because I'm still on my dryathalon and I poured a glass of orange juice!).
