TMIF - if you like Sophie Kinsella then pick up anything by Madeline Wickham - it's her writing under a psudenom.
Here's my current bookshelf!
had a half day today as childminder rang me to say she was sick at 11am so all my 'to do after work' jobs are done, kids are in bed so am I and a whole night of stitching to go............until hubby comes home and starts and argument. - thanks Louise and dragon for your comments so far.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Just popped on quickly to say thanks to being snowed in ive managed to get the bug finished. Will ask hubby if I can use his laptop and post a picture later.
Now should I finish the turtle for son or do I do something for me? Have got the A-Z nativty that is supposed to be my 10.11.12 to 11.12.13 piece, but the aida was too small and replacement only arrived a day or so before Christmas. Or I could finish a small UFO just to give me a break from larger pieces.
Decisions decisions.
One thing is for sure, the goldwork Angel is off my to do list. I only stitched about 100 stitches in it on the bug and hated evryone of them.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

I usually take trashy books on holiday - last year I read all 6 shopaholic books for example.
I definitely won't take 50 shades of smut... I will go to Waterstones tomorrow and see what i fancyx
I read trashy books as well but almost by definition they are instantly forgettable I never did like paying much for them so used to buy from charity shops and then donate back. Now I tend to download free books onto my Kindle. I haven't read all 6 but did enjoy the first couple of Shopaholic books0 -
Brednall - here's the pictures of the Twin charts that I have. They are from WOXS issue 174. I won't be stitching them so if you would like them pm me and I'll get them off to you (once I can get out again). Don't worry if they are not what you're after I wont be offended if you don't want them.

My son has now requested that I stitch another bug in the series and would like me to stitch this one http://www.flossandmischief.com/shop/patterns/orange-beetle-pdf-pattern/
Having a break from plain cross stitch now, got a 3D timbered house from the Nutmeg Company out to have a go at and also an Anchor embroidery kit for Elephant Silhouettes. Will obviously post update. Hubby says that I should have one of them finished by the end of the weekend with the weather the way it is. He's happy for me to stitch all weekend, I think it's because he can go on COD!! But I'm not complaining.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

gildius your great wall of china is fantastic cant wait to see it completed.
ailsb the bug is good to .
had planned on doing some stitching today but got carried away with cleaning craft room so maybe tomorrow. not going to do a great deal over the weekend due to weather so just perfect for crafting. You can if you think you can .0 -
brednall - I had a look at the sale in my local Hobbycraft and got a few really cheap cardmaking bits. It was all a bit of a random jumble to be honest. There were quite a few cross stitch kits with money off but to be honest you could still get most of them cheaper elsewhere since it's so expensive.0

Why not start it, do a week then go do a week on the bug then another on the turtle. Least you won't get bored lol

Hi everyone
I'm just popping in to say hello after completely neglecting this thread and stitching itself last yearI am totally hoping to be able to get back into the swing of things soon - even if it is only a few stitches every now and again.
I have to confess to not reading much of the thread recently either but I see some fab pictures are being posted of your work. Will repost once I've had a bit of a read throughand hope to be able to report some actual stitchy news in the near future x
