OMG! I can;t believe that.. They are ridiculous. Good luck getting the threads. Must be nice having the box though?

Well done on persevering. I haven't received mine yet. Might email to kindly remind them about the threads.

Ohhh but the box is LAUGHABLE. it TINNYYY!!!!!

apparently the threads are out of stock.....but I can have some pro-markers or wait.

I replied with "actually I want the postal address for your head office, I'm fed up with being fobbed off and lied to since september and it's time someone senior became involved".

Just been to the park with the boys sledging.....home to the lovely smell of veg soup cooking that I put in the slow cooker on high before i went out. I reckon another hour then leave it to cool and liquidise it (can't stand the indivdual taste/ textures but love veggy soup taste).
Just making me and DS1 hot choc to warm us up.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Oh nooo :( such a disappointment.
ooh promarkers, was tempted to sub to papercraft mag for promarker and punches gift. Do you think all mag promos are related, wonder if should try my luck..

Your soup sounds yummy, i'm the opposite, prefer soup with texture, more like stewoup

Afternoon all  I decided to go to the shops today (mistake). unfortunately I spent more than I intended :o but I did get the 2 threads I needed (thank you ASC :j) and I also picked up a small mouseloft xmas kit with 20% off. :T

I won't talk about my purchases from accessorize - me and my credit card will share that little secret but I did resist the temptation for the coat that cost £120 reduced from over £200  in the walking shop next door.

Need to update my money spreadsheet this afternoon and then hopefully do some stitching this evening. picked up some food bits in town so won't need to venture out tomorrow other than for the paper. expect it will be a duvet day tomorrow :)

Everyone has been outside flinging snowballs and having fun, all in and snuggled up on the sofas waiting for dinner. Got soup bubbling away which will be ready soon and making macaroni cheese for them. (I just need to sniff it and stick with soup cos I can't have pasta lol)

Hoping to have a whole night stitching tonight :D:D:D
Havent read the rest of CSC mag yet - but DD was soo excited to see her fairy picture in a magazine, and DS2 has spotted the quickie monkeys and has decided that I need to stitch them for him the same way I did the fairies lol

  • Just a quick post to let everyone know I haven't forgotten about you all.

I finally decided last week that I had had enough of living in a damp flat. We stayed here for so long as it was a NIHE property (in England, it would be the same as your council properties), and therefore we had a secure place to live with no landlord able to evict us. However the damp was so bad that Jaxon is still sleeping in our room as his wee room was covered with it.

So I phoned some landlords and found one that had a 3 bedroom house just 6 doors down from my Mum and was willing to let us move in with no deposit. The deposit should be £400 but he is letting us pay it off at £10 a week. Our housing benefit covers the full cost of the rent and rates.

The house was stinking and I think that was why he let us have it, but nothing that a bit of hot water and elbow grease didn't shift. We have been down all week cleaning and painting. Only have the living room to paper now, which we will do on Monday and then move out stuff down.

I am so excited, we are moving from a poky 2 bedroom flat to a spacious 3 bed house. Fair enough it is in a terrace row, but it has a wee front garden and a totally enclosed back garden, and a fully floored loft (although I hate enclosed spaces and Chris is scared of heights....lol)

Tonight we are having a wee night off from working and I intend to stitch and watch tv all night....xx
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)

That sounds great Caroline, sounds like you were lucky to find it. As you say, a little elbow grease can sort out any cleaning problem. Congrats, I hope you will all be happy in your new home x :D

Caroline - the new house sounds good, bit of hard work will pay off going forward. Congratulations.

Craftycrafty - love the hearts, particularly the one with the hands and feet, where's the pattern from? Sure it could become a birth sampler.

My Alessandra Adelaide pattern arrived today (less than a week from ordering and from the USA). Have sorted out fabric, using plain white aida, and threads. Going off here now to start it.
