quick question whilst I have you here, I have been browsing the seller you suggested on eBay, for my first quilt am I better of with plain fabric or patterned or does it not really matter, don't want to make it harder than it needs to be for my first attempt!
thank you
and crafty ha ha
After much stash sorting and indecision I have opted for using a piece of Polstitches hand dyed Jobelan called Stormy Skies plus DMC variations 4240 It's not ver variegated and is quite dark so I think will show up well So I will be starting tonight :j
I would start with patterned fabric as it is more forgiving than plain if your seams aren't completely precise or your quilting lines wander off a bit I still need these disguises. But it doesn't matter and is your choice. Are you going to add xs squares?

Alisb the pattern is one from a lady sewing for those impacted by the sandy hook shooting she designed it and some others especially for that but said it can be used for other charity stitching. glad you like it.

Of course - sorry. Sometimes its hard keeping up with who's stitching what. It always intrigues me how we all stitch differently. You seem to stitch a page up at a time, some people stitch in 10 stitch blocks and I tend to stitch each colour at a time.
Funny when you think we all get good results.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

I tend to work in the 10 stitch blocks but fill in the whole page using the same colour till the thread is finished, then onto the next colour.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0
