THe kit I have mentioned is a DMC cross stitch kit of a clematis using 1 thread over 1 thread if you see what I mean. I also thought that if I did it on a higher count fabric such as 14 or 16 there might not be enough threads so would have to add to them. I might try it with the fabric supplied and see how I get onBaby daughter born Jan 10Baby son born June 110

Ailsb - those pictures are even more stunning now they are framed, and amazing prices too!
Think a few people have mentioned it, but how stunning is the blackwork angel in Cross Stitch Gold? I gave into temptation when I saw it in the newsagents this morning, think I have everything in already to stitch it too :T, might have to adapt the design slightly as I can't do french knots  might have to replace with a few more beads.
I was also love the rose design in Cross Stitch Collection, so that's been added to the ever growing list.
Below is update of Finishing Post, the background is stitched in one thread with the horse and jockeys in 2 strands which give it some depth.
Have a great weekend0 -
Anyone know about threads falling apart? I've started on a kit that's probably a few years old, I received it from a lovely member on here probably last year. Now I've got round to starting it a few of the threads have just snapped in half or generally disintegrated so I'm left with lots of little bits of thread I can't stitch with.

Never heard of that before, does it state what brand they are?0 -
Does anyone have any experience with dimensions kits? It seems from the two different charts I have that you don't stitch white you just leave it blank...is that right? It just seems odd to me0

What kind of beads do you need? I have some sort of clear/irridescent seed beads hanging around if you would like them?
I can offer some beads as wellIf you would like some of the ones the design asks for (silver magnifica) let me know!

Firstly-going back a LONG time, and to something in the previous thread-I am very interested in a real life meet up next year. I'd love to see everyone in person. I bet no-one is how we picture them in our head.
I'm another who's definately up for a meet, weren't we thinking Lake District 2013?
Sweetcarer the resemblence is uncanny, even before I saw your posted pic I thought of that design when I saw Lady Gaga :rotfl:

Seems about right, I have been known to fill in with white thread if it looks as if it needs it, but depends on the design.0 -
Ailsb Those pictures are brilliant and look really lovely framed, Im sure your hubby will love his present
Also looks like you had some good buys today.
JCS1 That looks like a big piece! Looks great so far!! Oh and thank you for confirming about the blank bits...just need to check I have all the threads now
Ive never had that happen before Willow and Ive got some that are ancient from my mom lol! Maybe contact the company and explain what has happened and they might send some replacement threads out to you?0 -

So far I think it's only me. chicky and Louise who have definitely said we want to do this but anyone can join in (or drop out) at any time.
Sounds like fun, Maybe I can find something to join in with, thank you for explaining0
