I was just browsing your post again chicky and it struck me that a 'Twelve days' design would be a perfect one to complete on 12.12.12.:T

Now I have stitched the second one and it took aaaages :rotfl:but the first one is more simple and I reckon I would have time to fit that in with my other Christmas stitching.

[STRIKE]One question - where did you find that one please?[/STRIKE] Found it on Artecy ....................Thank you for looking, I found it on Artecy (hope it's not cheaper on crosstitch.com lol)

I have bought it to download

Ms impatient!!!!! Was gonna say I'll have a nosy thro my mags as I'm sure I have a few in them. I reallly wanna do the margaret sherry one but I think it may take me longer then 2 months.

A little book of charts - when I've got home and checked this has 6 DMC threads in including 310 and 666. This was reduced to £1 so an absolute bargain.

Is it very sad these are the only 2 I know off the top of my head (black and as I call it 'devil' red).

JCS1 - hope the side effects aren't too bad. I am intreguied after reading all the replies. Please tell me they kill a mans labido - where I can buy them on the black market and if they disolve in coffee with no lasting taste. :D

No stitching for me again....feeling a bit 'meh'. Something is niggling at me and I can't figure what it is :(

It's cold, rainy, drizzzly and generally horrible outside you have every right to feel 'meh'.

Anyone know about threads falling apart? I've started on a kit that's probably a few years old, I received it from a lovely member on here probably last year. Now I've got round to starting it a few of the threads have just snapped in half or generally disintegrated so I'm left with lots of little bits of thread I can't stitch with.

    Ever happened to anyone else?

OH nooo. I have a REALLY old kit in my stash and when I listed it on ebay I stated it was a far few years old and I wasn't sure whether threads lasted or not. TBH I was just covering my back I didn't actually believe myself. Thanks for the confirmation tho, even if it had to be found out in a horrible way.
I think you got sorted out didn't you? hope so.

can't remember who it was (cause my quotes went funny) but I always now highlight all my post and copy before submitting incase it goes astray.

chickywiggle-I've gotten very annoyed with cross stitch mags in previous years. I wait ages for a subscription gift that I actually want and would use, only for them to not send it. You contact them and they claim it's been sent-or they'll send it out straight away-and then when it doesn't arrive and you contact them again, they're out of stock and can only offer you alternatives which aren't of any use/not to your taste.

that's exactly what they have done. Thanks to 2 ladies on here I now have proof of their 'lying' and 'deception' (1 got told on the same day she would recieve the box when stock came in, the other pointed out it is still being advertised as a free gift - and the company stupidly e-mailed me this info) and as they have failed to reply to my last e-mail stating this proof I shall be popping a letter in the post to trading standards.

It has not been a good week for companies being less then truthful.

    - K1ddicare - have had my buggy over a week before I eventually got the refund (after a morning of nagging them).

-I5me - told me the £30 off £60 had been applied to me first order............. but never went thro - now they are refusing to acknowledge I applied it and say and I quote "we have the right to remove vouchers after a transaction if you can't use them" (but they don't tell you they have done it). typically I have no proof it show it as applied and cannot find the code.

    - Ll0yds told me YESTERDAY the would transfer my £170 credit card from my credit card to my debit card by faster transfer (2-3h) and it still hasn't happened. this was AFTER they told me I had failed secuirty check by giving an incorrect password (funny - that password worked last week!!!) and I had to p155 around in the branch.

    - pl4y.c0m - who claim to send items that never turn up and when they do are battered.

LOTS of very angry letters being written this weekend.

I want to go get some fluffy pj's over the weekend but the thought of 2 children + primark + weekend =:eek:
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Ailsb - Those pictures look brilliant framed, and really reasonably priced too :) I'm sure your hubby will love the marriage one :T
The bag charms kit is very pretty, I like that.

JCS1 - It's really coming along, I love the colours and shading

Ruth_honey - my heating is on! Only for a couple of hours, but I can't stitch (or type)with cold hands lol

Willow - was it a 'No1 crosstitcher magazine' the kit was originally from?

What's this black work angel everyone is going on about?? :rotfl:
