My mum bought me my first Cross stitch kit when I was 15 so I have been stitching for 18 years now (blimey that makes me feel old when I say it like that):rotfl: I think I lost my mojo for about a year in my early 20's but that was mainly lack of time.
I only started keeping a proper record of things when I joined this forum, and tbh I have a much larger To Do list these days because everyone keeps posting pictures of lovely ideasCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I quite fancy trying out the gammon in cola that you've mentioned. Do you literally just put in the gammon joint & pour full fat cola over it? How long do you leave it for?

Happy New Year's eve everyone Its very wet and windy where I am. Hope it clears up for later. _party_ Its kind of tradition to stand in our high street to see the New Year in. I don't really fancy doing that in the rain !
Didn't manage any stitching last night as we ended up watching Police Academy. :rotfl: Larvelle Jones was my favourite character :rotfl:
So going to update my money spreadsheet later (boring) but then hopefully do some stitching. I'm also going to bundle all the projects I want to do together and take a pic which I'll post later. My stitchy resolutions for 2013.....
Have a lovely day all :j0 -

Good Morning Everyone,
Wet and windy again today. When are we going to get some dry weather.
MOS - Your cushion is lovely.
Couldsavemore : I did a few small pieces just for fun. They turned out better than I thought so am going to keep them for next year.
I am so disorganised, guess what this years resolution will be:rotfl:.
My other resolution is to post more on the forums I visit:D. I am very much a lurker at the moment. Living on a farm and not having children means I don't have much in common with people my own age so I am not very good at chit chat:o.
Anyone else got any New Year Resolutions?0 -

i started BD in April this year so 8 months ago and only just made it onto page 4, the stitching so far on page 4 has taken about 4 hours roughly i only get about an hr or so a day to stitch. Don't compare yourself to *Louise* she like our superstitcher, no-one can keep up with her :rotfl:
I would like to complete BD next year so hope to do about 1 page a month, there are 12 pages plus the one i'm on, thankfully they are not all full pages and no backstitching :j
Stitcher, which two lions kit are you doing? i love big cat designsMy lovely African Lions got me back into stitching after a very long break and who could forget Czar. Reminders for you all

How old are you if you don't mind me asking, i'm 33 and no kiddies either, unless you count the 2 ferrets, 2 dogs, spider & scorpion :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
Chicky - can I ask something about your stitching?
When you post your update photos (love the DOH, by the way - it's growing fast!) you always seem to have the fabric quite loose in the hoop/frame. Is that how you stitch or are you releasing the tension on the fabric after you've finished stitching? I have to have my fabric really taut when I stitch, I don't think I could manage if it was loose. Just interested - it's fascinating to see how different people approach it. Bit like seeing someone else's progress pictures on a design you've stitched - no-one ever stitches it the same way you did.
