Nice updates Ladies. Love the Darth Vader. Perfect for New Year when all the diets begin:p

I have finally finished all the Chrismassy pieces. Some of which I have put away for next year.:A Will post pics later. Stuck to smaller projects over Christmas so that I has little senses of achievements.:) Now I have to decide what to stitch for my Mums birthday in February.

Just taken down our Xmas tree. It was looking very sad and had started to lean off to one side. Think next year I won't opt for a real one.

Well done for all the Ladies with planned lists:T. I am not at all organised and very indecisive. Must get organised, must get organised, must get organised.

If you're going for a fake tree next christmas, now is the time to buy it! You can get some great bargains on Christmas trees at this time of year. One year my dad got a black 5 or 6 foot tree in Wilkinsons for 10p! OK, it might not be to everyone's taste, but it make the conservatory look festive.
Flat Eric that's exactly what me and hubby plan to do, I also don't like new years eve, so we will close the curtains, lock the front door and hibernate for the night

I'm not keen on New Year either. Used to be good when I was a kid, because it was my Grandparents wedding anniversary on New Years Eve, then Mum's birthday on New Years Day, so big celebrations. Now my Grandparents are gone & I don't live with mum, it's a bit flat. Last year was the best I'd had in ages as we stayed at Mum's & at midnight we went into the street to wish everyone happy new year & my best friend was staying at her mum's opposite. This year we'll be indoors, trying to keep Blossom calm.

Been playing domestic goddess this weekend. Made the rice pudding yesterday-very nice and even tastier reheated tonight. Today we made a meat dish in the slow cooker. Again, very tasty and enough to do the same tomorrow. And I also made a sponge cake & a batch of chocolate brownies as we had some eggs that needed using. Am now knackered & want to curl up and carry on reading my Christmas book. Why I took 3 books out from the library I'll never know! Usually I take about a month to read one as I hardly ever get any peace to read! DH ALWAYS talks to me when I'm reading. Just shush!!!

PS - and off topic - any twitter fans out there? Rarely tweet anymore but still have my account. Received an e-mail earlier thats clearly spam so logged into twitter and also found another spam message so blocked the two people who sent the direct messages but this meant searching for them/ going to their pages so I could block them and opening the direct message so I could click the bin icon. I'm just worried that by actually opening the spam direct message/by going to their page that I might be inviting spam to my account but I guess its only if I click on any links in their messages?? Don't really understand twitter/whats best to do with these spam messages....
I use twitter a lot, but I keep my profile private, so I don't tend to get spam messages-unless someone that follows me gets hacked.
I usually decline any new followers too-unless I actually know them. I don't think viewing their messages can do harm. It's clicking the links that would. But I could be wrong...
Oh no chicky , I will sending calming thoughts to your ds tomorrow
lol flat Eric, it could pay for your whole night
Can't wait to see it finished nmm

Hubby is boring me to death, all the bond films in the correct order! By the time we get to the end of them all i'll be bored to tears !

Sounds dull! Never seen a whole Bond film. I might do one day, but can't say I'm that fussed.

Back to work tomorrow :( but office closing at 1pm :T

Finished a UFO of several years old last night, it was a poppy bookmark which was all done apart from the back stitching - and it was the type that doesn't line up to any holes in the aida at all and is a real pain to do. 1 down, not sure how many more to go!

Looking forward to seeing a pic soon! Well done. :T

Chicky-DOH is coming along very nicely. Is it very cold up by you, then? It's been so mild here. Only had a light coat on walking to Tesco yesterday. Hope you find something fun to do tomorrow.

Firefly-Those look familiar. ;) I stitched Noel from that chart book for my Mum's card. Blooming metallics drove me crazy!

  • will do Maria - didn't someone say there was a site where you could easily convert the text? then you could put whatever you wanted as a pic (i think it'd look good with a AOY boy and girl at the bottom.)

NYE will be staying in here too. but then with no babysitter not much choice lol - not that I could be doing with the bustle in the pubs and stupid drunk people and freezing my butt off waiting for taxi's.

ruth_honey you have pursuaded me to buy a beef joint to slow cook next weekend, sounds much yummier then toad in the hole. yummmy yummy yummmy.

It's been reallly mild (well it was on Boxing day), Friday was pretty chilly (but then i only left the house between 9-10am and 5-6pm). have tried to keep myself chained to the house for fear of a) freezing, b) getting soaked and c) spending money so not sure what it's been like. All I know is it rained tonight (I could hear it) and it was raining on my tesco man on Saturday.

Got my sky+ box all set for 80's kids TV next weekend.....linky.......eeeeek I am SOOOOOOO excited.

Been looking on Amazon and Raggy Dolls DVDs are £5 each (there are 4 of them) so as soon as my shop n scan points go on for this week I am getting me an amazon voucher, adding it to the £10 already there and buying them........the kids will LOVE em. (I do have 2 that i taped from video to dvd but obviously the quality is shocking).
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • Ha ha I have the remote, we have watched the first 3 today arnt I lucky! Hubby has no choice once littlest imp is in bed my sewing comes out, he used to moan about it, but after many years he has learnt that moaning makes no difference and as someone said the other day he now tells me what I miss and rewinds it if i need him to lol

    Can't wait for piccie jcs1

Chicky I know there is one for converting text but I'm not sure about adding pictures

Hope your beef joint turns out yummy. :) I quite fancy trying out the gammon in cola that you've mentioned. Do you literally just put in the gammon joint & pour full fat cola over it? How long do you leave it for?

Didn't know about the 80s tv weekend, so thanks for mentioning it! Used to love Knightmare.

Haha my hubby got that box set for Christmas (thanks mum!) so no doubt I will have to sit through them all at some point this year as well :rotfl: I don' t mind though cos I will concentrate on my stitching.

(and I may well pay more attention when we get too the Daniel Craig films) ;)

Just been 'shared' this on facebook........awwwww...... now I want to chart and stitch it....**adds to list***

Ahh that' s lovely, and so true. I' m really into stitching quotes and things at the moment - 3 of my last 4 projects have been my own designs after seeing something written down.:T

and if you do ever chart that I would love a copy I saw another saying on face book the other day that I thought would make a nuve stitch and one on pintrest, might chart them tomorrow

    Keep the sayings coming!:T
