Hey Everyone,
Sorry I've been AWOL as well, time just runs away at this time of year! Just got back from a couple of days up north to see the Great Aunts which was lovely but it's still nice to be homeI still haven't managed any stitching this holiday.Still seem to be on wind down mode. I suspect that just as I get into that happy relaxed frame of mind, it will be time to return to work !
I keep checking the sew and so website but no sale yet.... I don't know why I'm looking as I have enough crafty bits to see me through 2013.
What is everyone planning for New Year? I'm intending to have a quiet night. Will try to last till midnight although tempted to go to bed at my normal time of 10pm as it is back to reality on the 2nd and need to get back into a routine at some point. Intend if i get myself organised to start some stitching and spend some time on new year's eve stiching away
I haven't managed any stitching either, I think I've burnt myself out with all the crafting for Christmas, will have to start even earlier next year!
Will have to try and avoid the sew and so sale as like you I have far too much stuff already :rotfl:
Not sure about New Year yet, OH is working so most likely will end up in his pub :cool:We have been to see The Hobbit today - it was really good but my hands were starting to get fidgety after 2 and a half hours....:)
I thought the Hobbit was fab, can't wait for the next one!*Louise* wrote:I need to make myself a To Do list for 2013sweetcarer wrote: »Hello Girls,
I have been thinking what to stitch next year and come up with this list -
I've been thinking of what I'd like to get done (I think that's my problem, far too much procrastinating, not enough doing!!!)
My list looks like this...
Finish all the things I wanted to do for this year that I didn't;
Blackwork Angel
Niece 2's door sign
Xmas Bird
Snowflake Sonata
Mum's Christmas stitch
Christmas Decorations 3 & 4
And then I'd like to also do
Be Jolly
Joan Elliot's Unicorn
Something for my friends baby due in May
Start a HAED
Not much then...
Off to update signature to hopefully give me a kick up the bum!
If I don't get online again before the 31st, Happy New Year all!

Hello Girls
Its late and I should be in bed as I am at work tomorrow.
Just looking at stuff before bed - trying to get inspiration for my school square for Sandy Hook. I have seen one but might have to make my own design based on it.
Anyway, just noticed that I forgot to put purple work part two on my list - silly me. So my list should look like -
AOY charity squares - letter O x 2
Sandy Hook adult quilt squares x 6
Sandy Hook wee girl quilt square x 1
Sandy Hook quilt square for school x 1
Snow drop memorial squares for my mum and her sisters (4)
Purple Work part Two
Helen Phillips - Winter (from CSC)
Helen Phillips - Spring (from CSC)
Helen Phillips - Summer (from CSC)
Helen Phillips - Autumn (from CSC)
Blue Sampler (from Work) at least one part
and I am also doing a couple of surprise stitches.
Well better try and sleep - the moon is massive tonight and the wind is getting up again - so hope to sleep.
Kind wishes
sweetcarer:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j0 -
Hi everyone, I hope you all had a good xmas. Mine was good except that I've caught a cold so not so much eating and drinking as I would've liked
I received a few DVD's, a book, a game, some baking stuff and some smellies which was good. Nothing stitching related but I have enough stash to last me all through next year.
I've started stitching the twelve days of Christmas by Joan Elliot and I have fallen in love with it. Each little square is so quick to do. Not too enthusiastic about all the gold thread though. I'm working my way up to the top left corner and then stitch the gold as I go along.
I'll continue Forest Walk next year. I've hit a block with it atm as the page I'm on has a band of confetti stitching. I'm thinking of using the parking method for this.
Happy stitching everyone and have a Happy New Year

Dearest OH is making pasties and chocolate tart today so I'm staying out of the kitchen other than being on washing up duty. (at least then some semblance of order will remain :rotfl:)
I started the free kit that came with Cross Stitch Card Shop yesterday. Chicky interesting review. Only the free kit and one other design appealed and next month's free kit doesn't appeal either. Trouble is, I like the convenience of having the mag delivered plus I get my paws on it before it arrives in the shops. I should really be more organised with my mag subscriptions.
Will do a proper list of my 2013 projects and post it shortly.0 -
