  • DH works nights and I have 2 teenage daughters so got up when DH came in at 6am and didn't see the DD's until at least 11.30am so managed to get lots of stitching in today. :j

I bought a couple of the 99p cushions from the Dunelm sale so that I can use the inners and back material complete with zip for 2 caravan design cushions I am making, must say they look great and can't wait to get the first one finished.

Hope you have all managed to get some stitching done today.
  • Next project picked going to do the London one from wocs a few months ago, fully intend to curl up and get lots done tonight

    Do share the details please:D

I'd already had an email about this sale and have just ordered the Heritage American Smooth dancs kit at half price. Got to do something to fill the void now that Strictly has finished (that's my excuse and anyway I'm using Xmas present cash )

I visited the sales today. I did get the 9 Lives cat calendar (40% off and not even 2013 yet :j:money::D) which I was very pleased about. I also got some new wine glasses (hic) (half price) a nandos set including a large bowl for your nachos, a bowl for your dip and some peri peri relish  (also half price) plus some half price teaspoons. (cup of tea anyone?)

Did look at a rucksack but only had £20 off (original price £50) and also looked at an ipod dock in $ainsburys but it didn't have DAB... Did do useful stuff like renew my bus pass and pay christmas money into bank. Will try to resist going in again. Disapointed couldn't get in na%do$ for lunch - too long a wait for a table so my OH treated me to a pasty instead :rotfl: (it was actually very tasty).

So friends round this evening so no time for stitching but have found the threads I need for one of my newton projects so I'm all set to go now. Shall possibly if I don't drink too much this evening, start something tomorrow.

A bit of an off topic question before I post this post....

Had Mr T deliver today (party bits and random things I needed). One of the bottles of beer I ordered broke in the driver's van meaning that most of my shopping (well the other bottles of beer were wet with beer). Also the chicken I ordered has a use by date of the 31st - Monday. According to the website, I should receive chicken with 5 days fridge/shelf life. With my xmas order, I had some sausages that were eat by the next day so I e-mailed and got them refunded. I don't really want to contact them again and grumble as they refunded my sausages and a bit extra on top to cover the hassle. I don't want to get a black mark against my name. Do you agree its best just to leave it. I was probably more annoyed that the packs of chicken were loose in a bag with my cheese from the deli (wrapped in clingfilm) :(

I'd email/call again. We had some issue with our order before christmas & the guy who called me to sort it out was lovely about it. Every Little Helps, and all that, so why shouldn't you get something for it? If it should have 5 days fridge life, then 3 days isn't enough & the picker shouldn't have chosen that one.

I agree If it's not right tell them. I had a series of issues with order after order and complained every time. Hasn't stopped them sending me special offer voucher codes etc

I've had a lovely day today. On holiday so decided the cleaning and tidying can wait until tomorrow (visitors Sunday so better done Sat). Leisurely breakfast then out to a local fabric shop for their sale. Spent quite a lot of my Xmas money on fabric stash (for patchwork and quilting) though did get 2 colours of the Diamant metallic thread for possible xs projects. Then home for lunch and after putting the ingredients for turkey and veg soup into the slow cooker settled down with DH to watch/listen to one of his Xmas gifts -The new Coldplay Live DVD while stitching. Have started a stocking - one of 2 I want to finish for Xmas 2013:eek: Some of the fabric I bought today will be used for stocking backs and lining which is probably what made me choose this project. And then i bought a kit in the sale:D
Intending to stitch some more tonight.

Hope everyone else has a good evening

I got the sewing box below, which has 9 compartments inside it, also (yet another!) another pair of embroidery scissors, fabric glue and a DMC bluebell kit.

Also, got down to 3 kits to start next, couldn't decide which so got someone else to pick a number. So next one is map of Peak District, the farm is just inside the boundary:
