  • Nice updates Ladies. Love the Darth Vader. Perfect for New Year when all the diets begin:p

I have finally finished all the Chrismassy pieces. Some of which I have put away for next year.:A Will post pics later. Stuck to smaller projects over Christmas so that I has little senses of achievements.:) Now I have to decide what to stitch for my Mums birthday in February.

Just taken down our Xmas tree. It was looking very sad and had started to lean off to one side. Think next year I won't opt for a real one.

Well done for all the Ladies with planned lists:T. I am not at all organised and very indecisive. Must get organised, must get organised, must get organised.
  • I have never done the 5 issues for £5 before. If I set up the direct debit for the £5, when does it come out of my account and when do I need to cancel the dd. Can I cancel it straight away or do I need to wait until I have received all 5 issues..

Also can I get one in my name, and one in hubbys name...xx
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)

I THINK it takes it out after 1st issue.
you need to cancel after the 4th one (monthlies) or 3rd one (weeklies). thro the above link you can ask it to send you a reminder.

can't see any reason why you can't have one in each name
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • Thanks chicky...It let me do two in my own name...So got WOCS and Crazy...Haven't bought a mag in ages as they are so dear, a £5 is nearly the cost of one issue...xx

  • Brilliant update chicky, did your toddler have a nap, mine doesn't normally sleep during the day, but left him with dh today whilst I did some shopping and came home to find he had fallen asleep on the floor while watching a film, he looked so cute

Picking a new project, can't seem to get into this one so will do something else then come back to it

Well I didn't win the lottery from the lucky dip I bought yesterday nor did I become an xmas millionaire in the euro millions. Ho hum. looks like it will be back to work for me this week :(

I have managed a little bit of cross stitching this afternoon. - I have done some more to the free cat kit that arrived with Cross Stitch Card Shop :T I always find these free kits quite devious because there is always so much more work required than appears to be the case. This kit - the cat will stitch up quite quickly but I fear all the flowers and greenery will be a bit of a faff. I was a little bit annoyed/miffed because I thought I might use threads from my stash and thinking I was being clever looked at the valentines cat design that I'm stitching that features the same cat but the same symbols haven't been used and it looks like they have used a slightly different shade of brown to what was used previously as the threads supplied don't match what they specified previously. The design is very similar so it was easy to see to match up the symbols. In the spirit of:money:however, I am using the threads supplied.

Has anyone bought any bits in the sales? I did buy a kipling handbag in the Boxing day deals on Am@zon. £24.99 instead of £73.99 for the grey or £93.00 for the black  It isn't the kipling bag I really want - but it will keep me entertained until I can save the pennies for the one I've fallen in love with

I can't believe its new year's eve tomorrow. It isn't my favourite night of the year and to be honest, I would quite happily shut the door on the world and hide under the duvet but I shouldn't be boring. :rotfl: I suppose I have come to hate new year because it signals its almost the return to normality/back to work etc.

I have found it really hard to relax this xmas and have felt really miserable. I don't know why. grrr cross with myself ! anyhow sure I'll pop on tomorrow but if I don't Happy New Year and all that. Here's to a very stitchy 2013 :j
  • Flat Eric that's exactly what me and hubby plan to do, I also don't like new years eve, so we will close the curtains, lock the front door and hibernate for the night

    did he b*****ks. :D

He screamed and I have found out he can't now say "I don't want to" for 45 minutes until I gave up and brought him down again. The 2 of em have driven me up the wall the last 2 days (as I'm desperatly trying to get rooms sorted/ toys listed on selling sites etc). DS1 is only interested in the PS3/ DS or games on my phone.....but has been told by daddy that tomorrow he WILL go play with his lego for a few hours to give me some peace.

They have FAR to much energy (and thats with no sweets/ choccy in them).

am desperate to go SOMEWHERE tomorrow but no idea where as all 'kiddy friendly' places will be full of obnoxious brats, parks etc will be muddy and cold so that leaves.............shops!

DS1 gave up his naps at around the same age (but I could cope when there was just him lol). DS2 rarly naps for me at all- but of course always does for Daddy  (maybe they manage to bore them better then we do)

curled up in bed now, time to get on with some more DOH.

PS - and off topic - any twitter fans out there? Rarely tweet anymore but still have my account. Received an e-mail earlier thats clearly spam so logged into twitter and also found another spam message so blocked the two people who sent the direct messages but this meant searching for them/ going to their pages so I could block them and opening the direct message so I could click the bin icon. I'm just worried that by actually opening the spam direct message/by going to their page that I might be inviting spam to my account but I guess its only if I click on any links in their messages?? Don't really understand twitter/whats best to do with these spam messages....

I wish we could do that but my OH stayed in with me last year and the year before I didn't go out so it is about time I toasted it down the pub. hic :rotfl: although saying that, there are always massive queues for the loos on NYE so I shall refrain from drinking very much and will be taking some andrex puppy print loo roll out with me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Perhaps I could sell it, 50p a sheet and make some money for cross stitch stash in 2013 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
