    Did this last night

Have just looked and I had saved 7 quotes with the intention of charting them!

    That's very pretty Maria :)

C'mon then....what are the quotes?? :rotfl:

My Family Rules has used loads of great little quotes all in one project, I have charted these ones:

USe Kind Words / Help Others
    Laugh Out Loud
Say I Love you / Do Your Best
    Don't Whine or Complain
Be Proud of Yourself / Try New Things
    SHARE
    Say Please & Thank You
    Tell The Truth
Be Happy / Laugh * Giggle* Have Fun
    BE Forgiving/Patient/Grateful / Dream BIG
IF you drop it, Pick it up!
    Remember You Are Loved

I'm hoping to complete it on 3.1.13

How do you all plan your future projects? At the moment I make a list of all the patterns I've seen that I like and when I am ready to start a new one I choose (painfully) which one I will do. I'm thinking of having a couple on the go at once....what do you think?

    Ohhh it's a slippery slope....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I have....um....a *few* on the go just now :o I just switch between them as the mood takes me and now and then I will discover something which has lain untouched for a few years and I find the mojo to finish it off :)

I have a storage box beneath the coffee table and if I find a chart I like, then I put it in there. That way they are all together and I don't have to go raking through piles of magazines to find a chart that I'm after.

I *think* you'll find that what you did was amend the design to make it unique to you. Ahem. :T

    Well put :D :T:T

couldsavemore, I think I'm slow at stitching as well. Although, I'm getting faster the more I do. I just tell myself that every stitch I do counts towards the end finish. Have you got to the coloured part of your project?

    Exactly!

I need to think of what new years resolutions to make are. How do you all plan your future projects? At the moment I make a list of all the patterns I've seen that I like and when I am ready to start a new one I choose (painfully) which one I will do. If it's stitching for myself, I stitch whatever takes my fancy. I have loads of kits/charts on the go, so I can change around according to my mood (I'm a Gemini!). Things are forever getting moved up & down my priority list.

Hi everyone! New to the forum but not so new to cross stitching as have been doing it on and off for around 12 years now (even though I'm only 21!)

Wanted to show you my recent (huge) finish but can't at the moment as I'm newly registered. Will hopefully build up a few more posts then I can show you.

Another Laura in the cafe! :) Welcome. I've been stitching for 16 years (at least!) and I'm 32. Been obsessed for a good few years now, though. These girls are partly to blame. Getting chatting & get your post count up so you can show us some photos. :T

    Well put :D :T:T

More organised than me. I'm forever rummaging through magazines and chart piles mumbling that 'I've seen it here somewhere'.

I'm really going to try and get myself tidier and more organised this year. Have a major clear out and get back some space to move in this place! Have been searching out stuff to ebay all afternoon. Managed to part with some cross stitch books & charts to list. Have to be firm with myself because I'd have to live to 10000 to stitch all that takes my fancy. :o

Well only 7 hours of 2012 left !! Not sure how much stitching I will get done before the clock strikes midnight but hope to do lots in 2013. :j

I haven't sorted through my projects yet/taken a pic. Spent longer than planned crunching numbers and this afternoon enjoyed cat cuddles on the sofa while I fell asleep watching the how we made the snowman 2 film. blimey. some effort !!

Have a lovely lovely evening all and here's to lots of stitchy chat in 2013!
  • Its lovely to see so many updates.

I am glad to hear I am not the only disorganised one:D.

Sweetcarer - The Star and the Christmas tree were in a Christmas booklet that came with issue 196 of WOXS. It had 54 patterns. I made some of the gift tags too and was very pleased with how thay turned out.

Nmm - I just turned 38 a few days before Christmas. We have been trying for a baby for a while but I am afraid it may not happen for us but I have loads of furry little ones tho.:D Dogs, cats, chickens and horses.

Purple Crutches & Laura16 - Welcome. Looking forward to seeing what you are stitching.

I hope everyone has a great Hogmany/New Year how ever you chose to spend it.
  • Just done the subs for Cross Stitch Crazy and Cross Stitch Gold. Just don't know when I will fit time in to read them but hey ho ......:D

Hi guys, lovely updates managed to get some BD done, in the space that is left to do i only need to use 2 colours :j should stitch up very quickly :) New Year is also just another day to me and my OH, to my family its an excuse to get drunk, not that they need one :rotfl:

    beautiful_dreamer_update_301212_zps2d038d1c.jpg

Hi nmm, when you do areas that only require the occasional stitch rather than rows, do you stitch each individual square or do you run the thread across the Aida? My DD's had a photograph of my 2 border collies converted to a Xstitch chart but they are playing in the snow and as you can imagine there a lots of one or two stitch pieces across the areas.

Would anyone mind photographing the back of their work so I can see it please, I always think mine look terrible!
