chickywiggle: Those framed pictures look lovely... it's amazing how a frame can finish off a piece so well. Nothing wrong with a Wilkos finest frame!
I love the Cut Thrus - not sure I could cope with all that backstitch though!
sweetcarer: That purple work is beautiful - so delicate! I keep meaning to try blackwork but never seem to get round to it, it's a great effect though.
Here is the latest update on my current WIP -
(Sorry if the pic is too big!)

Hi ladies.
Louise. Your Mums birthday piece, lovely, just lovely! For the border I would probably do some blackwork as it's nice and delicate and not too fussy. I just goggled blackwork borders and was amazed at how much came up!
I wanted to ask you, when you are doing a large piece on your frame and get to a place where your stitched work is under the clips do you put anything between the clip and the fabric to stop the stitches getting squashed? Does it work?
I know on my roller frame they seem to get a little squashed while rolled up but once the fabric is off the frame the stitches bounce back after a while.
I'm wondering because I have a couple of large designs to do and already have the largest frame size available. I was thinking of draping the fabric on the front then clipping to the frame but if it's going to ruin the stitches I'll have to think of something else.
Brednall. Nice Jemima Puddleduck progress. Those coaster designs look cute too.
Chicky. Nice framing, you did a good job for such big pieces.
Littlemonkey. Nice update pic. I really like it and look forward to more updates.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

the leaves just yell - you need to turn and tweak but you can manage it. It looks fab. I was singing the song
Thanks chicky, I will give you a yell once I know what I'm doing:T
I think your pics look great framed - and what a bargain price!:money:
Sweetcarer - Purplework is looking great, you will finish that for the 12th easily
Littlemonkey - What's the name of that piece? It's coming along really well. Looks like the sort of piece that can be stitched fairly easily while watching tv lolHi ladies.

Thank you - that's another idea I can think about (I can see me having a mishmash of everything hehe) :T
Yes I do put something under the frame to protect the stitches. With this one there is lots of excess evenweave which is really flexible so I just fold the edges back over and put the clip on the doubled up fabric (does that make sense? I can take a pic if I'm not explaining properly):o
With other fabric I just use a sheet of white paper under each clip. Over time the clips become a little looser and it helps with the tension as well as protecting the stitchesCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219.
